Good lord, that thing is perfection. I spent a week with a Z4 (before I decided on the Supra instead) and found it to be boring in comparison. I just couldn’t bring myself to do a soft top, either. But this Z4 shooter would be ideal for my bikes and dogs. Gorgeous. I don’t know shit but no way it happens, and no way it looks like that if it actually does happen.

Good news is that all the tooling and suppliers should be prepped and ready to go at Magna Steyr, with their modular assembly, and I'm massively oversimplifying... Welding a hard top to a Z4, adding nice Italian? leather, giving B58 a small performance tune, and putting some nice M logos on it. The small number of units shouldn't be a problem, in theory. It would have to cost more than a loaded out Z4 M40i so north of $73,000 +destination. Nice round number would be $80,000.

I wonder why the floor is so high

I'd imagine the floor is sitting on the fuel tank. When it was just a tiny trunk then the fuel tank sat between trunk and seats. So you give up depth for length.
