Oh great Zack, share thine wisdom with me.

Put my MT ET street's on over the weekend and had some fun. Didn't do any all out launches but hit it hard in 2nd a few times from a low(ish) roll... I think my PS axle is clicking now. I know axle failures aren't uncommon on higher power cars, and in FRS world people have axles click from lowering the car too far and it's the 1st step in failure...

You think my timeline for axle upgrades needs to be escalated ASAP? I'll put it in the air this weekend and check it out, should I just jiggle it to see if there's play?

Also, ran a G80 M3 competition (he was tuned on E50)... thought I'd slightly pull but he pulled roughly half a car on me through the run... hurt my feelings. How's your car doing these days? What's the next goal for you?

How much power are you making? If you're getting clicks, it's time to check on them. They usually fail pretty hard.

It's ok, It's consistent. Slower than I'd like at the moment. It's consistently 8.80s with a solid 60'. I know there's more in it.

What's the next goal for you?
I'd like to be consistent around the 8.50 mark, but getting there might be a lot of work. 8.50s is quick.

I haven’t personally put it on a dyno. Gotta be close to 700. Maybe just high 600’s? The G80 I was essentially neck and neck with runs 143 in the quarter.

To check the axle is there anything specific to check other than seeing if it’s loose in the couplings?

9’s is quick. 8’s are fast. Hell, 15 years ago, 10’s were still pretty quick. Amazing how far that has come in a relatively short time.

Any recommendations for a worn rear CV joint boot, clamp & grease kit? Can’t seem to find one for our cars like they make for the BMWs.
