I’m trading my fully built 2017 Camaro SS tomorrow for a 2023 Supra 3.0. Bought in summer of 2016 with 8 miles on the odometer.

To the OP, the 6th Gen Camaros and the 7th Gen Corvettes, they all inherent an engineering flaw with heat and the starter location.

Starter blankets, ceramic coating, and etc does nothing. Expect at some point to randomly get stranded because of the temperamental starter.

Don’t get me wrong. I obviously kept the Camaro for as long as I have because I loved it. But, too many times I’ve been caught stranded to develop ptsd lol. I lost full confidence in driving the car anywhere long distance.

What are your mods? I’m assuming that 520 is with an e blend.
Armaspeed intake, 4.5” to 3.5” bimmernet dp, borla 3.5” cat back, ams charge pipe, 600cc of 80% meth and 20% water and the tuning by manolito tuning on BM3.

200tw won't do anything. I have 200tw tires on my car (RT660 in 295/35/19) with a measly 500whp and it'll light them up at 50 mph. Unless you want to start your races at 120+ you're going to need aggressive drag radials that wear out every few thousand miles.
You light your RT660's up at 50mph? Is this from a cold roll (1st pull) or after the tires are warm?

If the tires are hot and/or it’s hot outside (80+ F) then they’ll grab in 3rd and higher. If it’s 60 F or cooler then 3rd is squirrelly and they won’t really grab until 4th. 1st and 2nd are basically useless regardless.

If I did a big burnout first then they’d probably grab in 3rd at 60 F or cooler, but normal driving won’t get them warm enough to make a difference.

Peak torque (~600 wtq with E50) is around 3k RPM. That's around 36 mph in 3rd, 45mph in 4th on the auto.
