This.

So they expect pre-orders on a car with no specs, no price, no interior information, and not even 100% sure what the exterior is going to look like?!? Come on Toyota, this is just getting ridiculous.
how is this a surprise? Tesla manages to get people to put money down on their shit years before launch. Toyota has enough hardcore fans to justify this.

The RPM on the laptop is pretty troll..

not really all that crazy... I've had my brakes to up around 900deg F several times on track iirc
yes we can have very high temperature but with series brake without brake pad sport?
I know a lot that we end to ditch with brake series

Iā€™m not surprised. Many people want this car for make a swap with an 2jz engine. The spec isnā€™t useful

Don`t get your hopes up. That datalog/telemetry data is probably for the GT-series racecar that they also brought to Jarama.
- We know the stock engine is not revving past 6700rpms, let alone 7756
- Cars we saw were not equipped (at least not visibly) with telemetry systems and sensors. We should have seen a small antenna at least.
- 699Āŗ Celsius is not a working temperature for any kind of street pad compound and OEM brake fluid

Nice to see them working on the race car though. Will they start racing it in 2019? Would be cool to have Toyota at LeMans with both the LMP1 and GT racecars.

The B58 doesn't rev that high, but there are other BMW motors that do :hmm:

Donā€™t forbid itā€™s a test car and the engineer canā€™t modify some parameters to produce more.
The more interesting is this engine canā€™t increased this rpms at 7756 without failure.
And if is not a good engine add 10kā‚¬ for a 2jz full open :flame:

We did see the pics of that car there with the roll cage and racing tires...perhaps that is where this data came from

But that car shouldn't have an engine in it. What they using for the data, Gran Turismo?

I wasn't aware the race car was running, let alone lapping Jarama.

I`m referring to this car: Pirelli slicks, Lexan lateral window, aerocatch on the hood, seems to have a rollcage too.

That's not the car I'm talking about. There was a car on someones Instagram that had the same Camo as the MKV's and stock body but had racing tires, and a rollcage. I think the pic is in the madrid thread

Edit ^^^ Yes that's the one.

So it looks like a race version, but what's weird is, everything about it appears to be US based.
