Bummer.I tried to do that and they changed my reg to HPDE-INTRO 6mo ago or so. I bailed because it was like 3x 15min sessions on a Friday vs a single day Sat or Sun.

I know your comment is old but this popped up in the feed and I'm reading through it.No point to running in a green group

I just went to my first event at Autobahn Country Club in Chicago and was obviously in HDPE1. First time at a track and I wish I would have been running in at least group 2. A lot of my time was trailing behind a car waiting for them to wave me by. After my first session I got right up into the #1 spot in grid every run so I had the maximum amount of time before hopefully coming up on someone.
I'm not saying I'm the best driver in the world by any means but on a couple of the sessions I ended up passing one or two of the cars more than once and the track is 2.1 miles long.
Still had an amazing time and I plan on hopefully going to that one at least once a year as it is between me and my bestest buddy ?
Oh I know, I was just adding to your comment. Everything just depends on the driver of course. My "no point running in green group" was my response to forgoing a free GR day. just based on my seat time. was not a comment nor should I be in charge of who runs where.
The link below ?should workI never got this free track day. Bought my car brand new last July. I got the Toyota HQ phone call survey, and they asked if I got the NASA free track day. I said no, they told me to follow up with my dealership. I called my sales guy who seemed clueless and told me he will look into it but I haven’t heard a thing. I suppose I should call that dealership again.
Can someone point me in the right direction if you know of a better solution?
This car is so insane on the track TBH. Its a blast and corners better than most things out there. We were cooking locally at High plains raceway by me. I have trackdays on my belt with other chassis' and lots of VR time on my local track but this car was a complete blast in real life.Have my first Track Day at Chuckwalla this coming Saturday. Never driven on a track before but figured since its free what's one more potential addiction to fight off. Excited to see what the hype is all about with tracking these cars even though I'm going to be placed into the beginner baby driver class I have hopes I will still be allowed to open the car up a little bit. Have no clue what to expect!
Appreciate the tip! I have yet to fully turn off TC, but I would say 7/10 times I drive the car I click the TC button off once because I can't stand the power cut when I'm trying to have a bit of fun. Knowing that the first toggle is safe to keep off for the track I will for sure being turning it off! This car is so insane on the track TBH. Its a blast and corners better than most things out there. A tip i wish i knew for more experiences guys who are really new to the chassis. I literally took mine to this track day after 2 weeks of owning and barely any knowledge of this chassis lol. I didn't realize if you hit traction control that it goes into a track mode setting, still not fully off. Its a lot more playful but safe. I thought it was on or off so i left it on only. But there is a mode in between and now that I know the car really well I would of used that. I highly recommend you click TC once. I was constantly triggering my TC in full on but I did not know or trust the chassis at the time to turn TC off. Even with TC fully on I ended up lapping the 2nd place guy in my heats all day long and the rest of the pack lol. Wish i would of use track mode TC by end of day. Next time i go ill change it

Great points! I wouldn’t go full off w/out a good amount of experience or on a skid pad. One click off is perfect for learning the track basics and car control.Appreciate the tip! No. Original owner only within the 1st year of purchase.I have a 2020 and bought in 2023. Would they still give me a free track day ?
