^ I remember reading somewhere that you'd be able to mount an aftermarket spoiler to this car with ease since it will have pre-drilled holes or something along those lines.
Reinforced mounting areas* since the the hatch is plastic

Only one supra in the previous 4 generations had the wing, I dont think it's a feature that I think really needed to crossover to make me like the car personally. I hate the cheesy wing on the mk4 and am glad the mk5 has the subtle ducktail shape instead.

You have to dig deeper about the MKIV as the wing was period correct to it's generation. Back in the late 80's, what car was the creme de la creme and Enzo's final project... the Ferrari F40. Pininfarina was inspirational to the design of the Z32 300ZX TT and eventually the JZA80 Supra TT.

TBH, as iconic as it is, it doesn't fit the profile of the MKV. A lower profile or retractable spoiler to deploy at speeds like the FT-1 would seem more suitable.

I am German and read the article.

Don't give a F and ignore this one...

It's been written by morons who don't know anything about cars and the supra in particular.

They are not even sure if the supra does come with an i6, it's like a cook wrote a book how to repair a lawnmower.

that's what happens when you don't let the chief engineer run the show and instead involve several different divisions and each executive expects to give their seal of approval.

the 86 was handled much better for a reason (passion vs committee), but it's a dead horse regardless.

This was the era when Toyota and the rest of the Japanese market was obsessed with engineering. Unfortunately, those engineers have long retired and Toyota's priority for becoming the best has diminished.

At least where I lived, the OEM wing really wasn't all that popular. A lot of the guys with heavily modded turbos went aftermarket. The TRD wing was very popular. Veilside too.
