Out of the blue my dealer emailed me yesterday saying they were expecting my car to show up "within a week". Not to take anything away from the decent communication they've been giving me over the last half year in the process of getting this car, but typically they don't contact me unless there is a solid reason to do so... so I take her emailing me as a sign the end of this months long wait is nigh.

Love following this thread cuz I feel for you guys. I’ve done the same thing but it took 3 months for my last one. The 1st was in NC and the last in MD. The wait was killing me!!!! I don’t know how y’all wait this long ?

I’m renting a car and driving to Chattanooga. I have to drop it off at the airport. I’ll be staying in a motel in the area. Dealership is picking me up at 8 AM Saturday morning to do the deal.

You’ve got to stay in Chattanooga a few days if able. Great city!!!! Awesome aquarium ?, Rock City, Ruby Falls, close hiking galore and walk the downtown people bridge to the park below. One of our fav vacation cities!

Love following this thread cuz I feel for you guys. I’ve done the same thing but it took 3 months for my last one. The 1st was in NC and the last in MD. The wait was killing me!!!! I don’t know how y’all wait this long ?

I can't speak for the others but the waiting was kind of easy back when the final delivery date was a mystery. It was just going to come at some point in the future, don't know when so no need to dwell on it. Now that there is a "known window" of when my car might arrive I find myself obsessing over it irrationally.

The tracking system going offline is probably the best thing for me as I was checking it every morning to basically see the exact same information every day. It was watched pot syndrome. Now that the tracking system is offline and I'm back to having no way to know when my car might show up outside of my dealer's nebulous emails I'm kind of back to not fretting it that much.

Then again it is cold and raining here, and it will continue to be cold and rainy through next week. Not exactly the ideal conditions to pick up a new car and drive it home.

When I was originally thinking I wanted a stratosphere blue Supra I was planning to get the custom license plate BLUPRA. Now I'm stuck trying to decide between like four or five different yellow themed custom plates that aren't already taken.

The Toyota Tracker website still isn't working for my VIN. The Toyota website still shows the same delivery range though.

I assume dealers do not get vehicle shipments on weekends so my guess is if it doesn't show up today it won't show up until later next week due to the holiday on Monday.
