I made a huge mistake and I'm fucking devastated. I traded in the wrong Supra. At first glance, I thought I made the right choice keeping my A91MT because it was a manual and I didnt think I would ever miss the 2.0.

I was able to do so much more in the b48, hard corners, constant redlines, not to mention I could downshift the fuck out of it at every red light and I STILL got 26mpg.

With the A91 its allegedly 200 lbs lighter than the GTR and I dont feel it one bit. The 2.0 and 3.0 is roughly 220 lbs lighter and I can feel every fucking pound its lighter.

I still beat up on the a91 but its not the same. Im getting 18mpg but Im not even getting half the fun I did with the 2.0. My GTR has similar gas mileage as the A91 (13-14mpg) and its waaaay more fun to drive than the a91(and launch).

For all of you folks thinking of upgrading to the 3.0... unless you want a manual Supra, dont make the switch. Its NOT worth it. Theres better cars (m2, used911) for the same price point and you wont even see a noticeable upgrade. The 2.0 Supra is fucking special and I will soon be joining back with you my b48 fam!

At first I thought this was a troll post. I checked your post history or thread history rather and seen you made a thread on your highly modded 2.0 that you're comparing to a stock 3.0?

Also your title is wrong as you're making it sound like you traded the 2.0 for a GTR unless you're saying you had a 2.0 and 3.0 then traded the 2.0 out for a GTR? Your whole post is wildly confusing not to mention the fact you didn't even say anything about your modded 2.0 you're comparing to a 3.0

I had both the 2.0 and 3.0. I traded in my 2.0 because I originally wanted to keep the manual. Also the 2.0 wasnt really modded too much, i was comparing the just stock 2.0 vs 3.0.

I’ve been considering getting a R35 in addition to the Supra. How are your R35 impressions so far for canyon carving and hard cornering?

I love everything about the R35, my only complaint is I wish it was a little lighter in weight. The launch control on this car so immaculate you get a perfect launch every single time. As far as handling this thing is an absolute beast on the canyons! I havent hard cornered it(yet) because Im a little scared of the power gassing out the turn.

Overall, amazing vehicle and much better daily driver/comfort than the Supra. I can lean my seats back and take a nap in my car during lunch finally.

If you are getting 13mpg out of a 3.0 manual, then you must be reckless driving everywhere for no reason... Having owned both Ill still take a 3.0 supra everyday over the R35.
I just went to my first track weekend a few weeks ago and obviously pushing the car near it's limit the entire time I drove it I was getting about 8-8.5mpg. I absolutely agree with your statement

Im getting 18-20 currently in my supra, it hasnt even touched 6th gear yet. I only use 5th when on freeway.

In the end, you do you fam this wasnt meant to be a GTR vs Supra post. I have both and I love both, I just wish I traded in my 3.0 over my 2.0.

Yeah I'm not a conservative driver by any means and I often feel like I should dial it back a bit. I get 24mpg.

Isn't it annoying driving at 4k rpm on the freeway?

Mate, your car must have been a lemon, assuming you bought brand new, what kind of break in did you do? I'm getting average 26 - 27 MPG (US) (8.5 - 8.9 l/100km on 95 premium in Australia) fuel economy, that's combination freeway/street driving with occasional hard acceleration for fun, I don't drive the tits off the car every gear change. The computer is saying my average since I bought the car brand new is 26.7 MPG or 8.8 l/100km (that's including break in). No way you are getting 16 l/100km without doing something stupid.
