**Edit: Decided I'm going SH wing, just need some help from the community if possible for measurements. Thanks fam

I had a local "reputable" detailer detail my car while I was at work, within the complex where I work,

I came downstairs to drop off my keys and move my car,

Before heading back to work dropping off my keys I asked him if he had any experience in removing emblems or anything from cars that had double sided adhesive, I was going to be removing my carbon spoiler soon,

He said "yes I should be able to take care of it, if not, I will let you know",

Before walking away I said after you inspect it if you can't do it, it's ok just let me know, to iterate the importance that there is no issues if he can't accomplish this,

I come back to him ghosting me leaving me with missing/chipped paint and heat gun wrinkles in the paint,

This missing paint is about 2 to 3 inches south of where the spoiler was, seems to have happened from a tool that was used,

I was quoted $500 to paint just the hatch, and quoted $800-$900 to paint the hatch and blend in the quarter panels,

So, why am I writing here?

1. To bring awareness to the company that did wrong here and isn't owning up to it here in south Florida, IG whos_next_detailing FB facebook.com/whosnextdetailingllc,

2. Hear some opinions on what I should do (legal if anyone has any experience, taking him to court this week if I still don't hear from him),

3. Ask the community if anyone has any measurements of the SH wing or SH style wing. I have my eye on the one from @Jesse DaBears From the photos this should hide the damage nicely and put that $900~ towards an upgrade instead of just getting it fixed,

Pictures attached are of the SH wing highlighting where I need the measurements so I can measure my damage and see if I should go this route of and the others are from the actual damages

Hard to say but looks like for the most part this will get covered. Anything else you could use a touch up paint pen for.

@Jesse DaBears
Agreed hard to say. I’m pretty confident it will; however, with the help of someone that has it installed it will help solidify my decision with some measurements. If there is anything exposed and I need to use a touch up pen I will most likely just get it re painted

That’s where you had the cf spoiler?
@Axix23
Where you see the heat gun damage that is where the end of the spoiler laid. Where you see the paint chips the spoiler laid about 2” north of that. Chips seem to be something caused by a tool since that isn’t where the spoiler laid.

Also any shops in SOFL that have experience with Supra’s if anyone has any recommendations. Reputable shop that can install the wing would be nice. I haven’t done any looking or asking around yet.

I have that exact paint damage from my Rexpeed CF duckbill wing. And guess what…I removed it my self. I used a heat gun and fishing line and took my time. The stupid paint still got damaged

If you use the strong 3M tape Those CF duckbill spoilers are a 1 shot deal. Its really hard to get off without damage to the paint.

Yeah, I've had this issue with similar designs but on different cars. Just the nature of the beast.

Jesus really? If I’m going to basically damage the car and need to do paint correction or any other serious paint work I might as well just get the wing.. ?

If anyone has any info on measurements it would be appreciated ?? Or a reputable shop in SOFL

He looks like he had a hard time handling an orbital. Some of that looks like orbital burn from too much pressure being applied

Are you sure that’s heat gun damage? The area I see just under where the spoiler would have sat looks like really bad orbital burn into the clear
Pretty confident because when you run your finger over it it feels like the Atlantic Ocean.

+1 on getting chokeslammed by a duckbill upon removal. Got peeled paint due to the adhesive, as well as deep gashes at various points throughout the perimeter due to the wing rocking back and forth slightly under aerodynamic load. I just bit the bullet and resprayed the hatch, although I had planned to get my wing sprayed anyway so it wasn’t as big of a deal.

Wish I would have known this. Would have just went with the wing in the first place. You live and you learn I suppose. Thanks SZN
