I think I just got lucky.. been sniping the Toyota inventory for new Supras to pop up and been asking all the dealerships about their availability. Found one Supra that popped up yesterday that wasn't there last week and was already at the dealers lot! Apparently the original person who had a down payment backed out.

I told them I had a deposit for a Supra at another dealer for 61540 + ceramic tint without tax and fees. I asked if they can compete with that offer and they counter offered 65500 OTD tax and fees all included. I instantly took it and it was the color I wanted AZ! The other one I had a deposit in was a nocturnal which I was kind of iffy on.
What tracker did you use to find it?

From my experience msrp is out there but you'll have to do some work to find them. If you go page by page on this thread, you'll come across msrp dealers arcoss the US people have used. In my case, I did exactly that and got on about 4 lists (southeast region, harder to get msrp outside your region or state) and put a deposit down at my local msrp dealership. The one exception to the msrp dealer I went through is that you have to finance with toyota but after 6 months can opt out and refinance through your own lender.

Also, I was third in line at this dealership where an A91 was allocated. First person was an employee there and apparently didn't like the interior... Second person was called and could not pick up and sign the same day it arrived, so the GM told sales to call the next guy in line which was me. Other cases may be different but from my experience the car never sold prior to arrival.
Hey @Erty what dealerships in the Southeast did you have on your list that were MSRP. Currently looking for 3.0 premium in black, red white.

Bought from Fox Toyota in Clinton Tennessee.

3.0 base 2023. It arrived on lot, and a few weeks later it was bought by an employee and sold back with 800 miles and CPO’ed.

So basically we got it with the extended warranty with no markup.
What was your experience with that dealer? MSRP/no market adjustment bullshit?

If you don’t want to wait, simply pound the pavement. I did that for 2 cars (broken record) and you’ll easily find a dealer willing to sell one in transport (allocated) to their dealership. Times have improved since I bought mine. I have friends buying Vetts and more rare track cars at MSRP. So just ask for MSRP and no junk fees. Dealer fee will vary but they have to charge that regardless.

I’m honestly okay with waiting. I keep trying to tell the dealers that but they think im bluffing lol. I mention if it takes 6 months, that is fine with me, I just want MSRP and no crap market adjustments. Not sure if I should omit the fact I’m from out of state or what.

Had to make an account just to say how bs this buying process is.

I started just listing a local zip codes when contacting out of state dealerships because some dealerships weren’t even contacting me back because I was out of state.

The two things I kept running into was either a 10-20k markup or them not selling to non-locals.

Finally landed a purchase 2.5k over msrp.. at this point I’ll take it. It started as a 10k markup but I kept at them to lower it.

edit: also if you are looking for a 2023 Supra 3.0 Premium AT, looks like Toyota of Hackensack in NJ has 6 (looks like they do have markups listed though, so up to you on that)

Have any of you guys who bought at "MSRP" able to actually get the dealer to remove the silly dealer add-ons (tint, vehicle guard, wheel locks, GPS tracking services, etc.) that are usually like $1K-2K in additional charges that they claim are on all new vehicles and that they can't remove.

Basically, has anyone been able to actually just pay the sticker price (which includes any additional pkgs like driver asst. and delivery charge)?

I have. Twice. But if you’re referring to Toyoguard, carbon fiber mirror caps, iPhone charging kit, etc. I did have to pay for those. The price looked the same as my zip code search. With the exception of tax, title, tag, dealer fee.

If it was the individual dealer (not on the Toyota window sticker during your zip code search) to tint, track, add anything extra to the deal prior to it arriving, I just said no. Both dealers wanted to add stuff. That’s normal. Just tell them no.

But maybe it’s gotten harder since I bought mine last year?

Yeah seems like there's less wiggle room on the MTs. I'm on a waitlist right now but I think every dealer I've talked to that does MSRP has some sort of dealer add-on in the range of 1-2K. I don't even bother with the ones that are still trying to add markup.

Good deal. If they are honest, not douchebags, and you’re getting exactly what you want, that’s not bad. The car is definitely worth it 110%. Make sure to use your free track day! Do you have an arrival date yet?

Quick thought for anyone told you need to be in that state (here in the US). It’s only a few hundred bucks to open a shell company. Ask them if they will sell to a company in that state. Of course, that’d be you & your company. Obviously don’t tell them that. But doesn’t hurt to ask. The sales person is just doing their job. If it’s really a car you want (color combo), I’d ask.
