Put a deposit down on a White 2023 @ Kenny Kent Toyota in Evansville IN for MSRP. They weren't able to add or remove options, but I wanted the included ones anyways (driver assist and hood protection film).

$500 deposit was non-refundable.

Howdy, all! Just read through all the posts on this thread. Currently on the waitlist for Fred Anderson in Raleigh for an 2023 Absolute Zero 3.0 Premium (too many tennis injuries to go for a manual) and they just wanted a $1K refundable (up until they get an allocation and pull the trigger) but would sell at MSRP. Appreciate everyone’s insight, I might try Modern Toyota in WS and the one in TN to add my name to waitlists. Excited as this will be the first sports car I’ve ever owned (currently off-roading/daily driving a 2020 JLUR):

Did want to pose the question to the other members here… worth starting over and trying to get a CU Later Gray 2024? Assuming it’s available in a 3.0 Premium trim with an auto transmission.

That’s funny. I’m on the waiting list at Fred Anderson Charleston. I’m waiting on a manual though and had placed a deposit back in September and still waiting. At this point I’m wondering if I should get a 2024 as well. @conFUcius-Says

I got lucky with my Supra, I went to go buy the 2023 Matte white MT, even with Mark up but for what ever reason deal didn't go through due to interest rate. Came home sad ?, next day called up my local dealership, they told me to come and talk to Management, deposit refundable $500 to get on the list. When I went in there was only 1 Supra in transit, waited about 1 month for it to arrive, and I'm enjoying the car now!!! I did pay 5k over the MRSP tho.

I second this, Modern Toyota in Winston Salem have amazing staff and charge MSRP. I currently am waiting on a Tacoma TRD Pro from them (I'm working with Marisa over there; extremely friendly)

That said I did have to travel to find a Supra at MSRP and willing to sell out of state (without additional charge). Fitzgerald Toyota Chambersburg, PA is a really small dealership in the middle of nowhere but are great people to deal with (Alex helped me out)

Like Modern Toyota, they only require a deposit once an allocation is confirmed (unlike other dealers that require it even when they don't have allocations, therefore you're not even guaranteed one)

Speaking of allocations, Toyota releases allocation twice a month. Hopefully you're on a call list..this way as soon as a dealer has an allocation they'll contact you that day.

Lastly, as good as Modern Toyota has been to me, I do try to avoid buying a new Toyota from SET (Southeast Toyota Distributor) because they annoyingly add on the most over priced items (including a $699 TOYOGUARD package which is just two oil changes and some paint sealant that'll last maybe a season). Most times these are options that cannot be negotiated out.

I prefer to deal with Central Atlantic Toyota dealerships.

Here are the same accessories but as you can see pricing is different due to region.

Looking back at this, Central Atlantic is the way to go! Why doesn’t Toyota enforce this for all of America and build up their rapport even further?

Congrats brother! No need to apologize not getting a manual in this car. It’s absolutely fantastic. If it was a GR86 or MX5, then you’d need an excuse ? However not the case with the ZF trans mated to the B58 engine. It’s a marriage made in heaven… Make sure to use your free track day. That’s where this car truly shines!

How do I negotiate a price and get it confirmed/signed while working with a dealer out of state? I have a dealership I’m interested in and they sent me an OTD. I want to see if I can get them down on some junk fees and then provide a deposit, but scared if I’m not in person I can’t get anything written down.

As you can tell on this forum, I’m not bashful. Just ask… If they truly are junk fees, you should ask that they get taken off.

Build a relationship. There’s a fine line where you can sense they no longer appreciate you asking for free floor mats so to speak. I usually get to that point and stop. They want to sell a car. You want to buy one. Fill in the blanks in between. Find things in common & go from there. They will try to do the same with you if they are any good at what they do.

Are you from Hawaii? Where is that wave from? We never see waves like that in Florida. Can you throw in floor mats? Is this seriously your 1st car? You listed walk as your other car, lol.

Exaggerating above. But see where I threw in the floor mats? ?

Haha I love it. Appreciate the advice @FLtrackdays. I'm going to ask to have these beaver benefits removed and ask about any other junk fees then provide a refundable deposit. This will be my first deposit attempt! Based on this sheet if you think anything else can get removed, please mention it! I'd appreciate it. First time car buying is tough o_O

I’d ask to remove the Beaver Benefits. And “market value” is an adjusted price. But it’s not far off MSRP. If they won’t take off the “beaver benefits” ask to go back to MSRP on that base price. Otherwise looks good ?

Sounds good chief! I feel like I’m getting close to making it happen. Do 2024 Supras have the phantom grey color available? I can’t find anything at the moment besides the Mikan orange and matte white.

Phantom has been cut for a while.

I'm essentially positive that CU Later isn't coming back on US models. It was a once-and-done thing, along with the Cognac interior. Just like the 2021 Refraction and Blue/Black contrast stitched interior.

That makes the decision easier, haha. This was the article I found but, like you said, no additional information regarding color restrictions to trims or certain markets:

https://electriccarhindime.com/2024-toyota-supra/

Absolutely no idea how reputable that site is either.

I finally found a dealership I was willing to work with. 2024 Supra @ MSR. Both parties signed build sheet and OTD price sheet @ 64K. What does that look like now with them trying to pursue the car? Does Toyota manufacturing work with allocations around the U.S. to fill them?

Now you wait and hope one gets sent to that dealer.
