The Supra isn't as bad as all the unnecessary parts/high expense parts if you owned an Evo before, haha. Anyone remember ARC? :p Oh yea and that JDM Ralliart stuff..

Yep. It would take a very long time to reach the ratio of parts to value I achieved on my CRX... granted I got the car for free (in trade for IT work actually) but it would have been lucky to sell for $2K when I got it. I spent more than that on just the valve cover and seats (both used). And that was before shipping costs from Japan.

I think by the time I was done, I'd spent at least 6-7 times the value of the car - and only got $4K for it when I sold it because I didn't want to go through the hassle of parting it out on ebay.

I'm reasonably sure that it's not possible to spend $50K on non-performance parts for the MKV unless you're replacing every body panel with carbon fiber or having a ton of custom fabrication done. Let alone 6-7 times that amount.

Now that I've got the low-hanging fruit taken care of on the performance side, I'm adding some personal touches in the form of under-hood carbon and burned titanium bits. Nothing wrong with some personal flair! I like to drive my car...and stare at it after its all cleaned up! :D

Don't forget Mazdaspeed parts for the FD (RX-7). Mazdaspeed parts are at a crazy premium. I also have Spirit R Recaro Seats which are going at a premium right now ($10k - $12k). I got a bunch of Spirit R parts too and will not admit to how much i spent on that and Mazdaspeed parts.

Everything on my car is unnecessary except the turbo, fuel system, trans, axles, and drive shaft loop. I've spent 2x as much as I've needed to.
Don't forget the driver.. oh wait that's me.

OEM Carbon M paddles. Absolutely no performance gains but they look way better and feel much nicer ??‍♂

?

I'll stick to my ricer red rexspeed ones ?
haha yeah the price isn't for the faint of heart. I hurt when I hit submit on my order but now I don't regret it at all. Also they come with the actual modules, that's why they are so much more.
