So I inspected all four corners of the car this weekend... no visible issues. Ride Height Sensors are undamaged, and in proper orientation, see no problem there. All other lines and wires appear undamaged. Had no issues with notifications over the weekend, or on my drive to/from work on Monday. Today's drive in was fine. Drive home, got the same chassis error. This time I used MHD app to scan codes before I shut the car off, nothing reported back, no new codes or anything different than the last scan posted in pictures above. Shop that did the install of the suspension (BMW specialists) feels in could be a failing abs/wheel speed sensor. I have an appointment 9/9 to have the troubleshoot.

I am noticing that I may have a VERY slow leak in my right rear tire. I synched the pressure on all corners last Thursday, as the right rear was about two PSI lower than the other three. Today it is ab obout one PSI lower than the others (all pressures taken cold). I'll continue to monitor that. Could a small difference in tire pressure generate the chassis error? I'm near a new tire purchase on my street wheels, so I can certainly pull the trigger early if it truly is leaking. Visual inspection showed nothing apparent.

I'm going purchase Bimmerlink and try to use that to scan for codes the next time I get the chassis message, which I'm guessin will be gone when I start the car tomorrow morning to drive to work.

Frustrating as I have my first track day coming in just over a month, and I really don't want issues there, so I'd like to get it solved soon.

Happens to me as well. The only time it happens is after I drive 40 minutes, park it, and drive back another 40 minutes.

I would love to find a fix for it.

Loosing air in your tire should not cause it. But it could be many other things. If you’re getting the alert before you even drive anywhere, it could be the ride height sensor. Did you lower the car? The ABS module is possible if your shop confirms that when scanning her. Could also be a TC or DSC module. You can try turning off both of those by mashing the big nanny button for more than 3 seconds & see if it comes on. One guy at the track claimed he was getting that error when he didn’t turn everything off.

Can you think of anything else you did to the car or change prior to getting that code/error on the infotainment screen?

The car is lowered but ride height sensors are undamaged. It isn’t slammed but I will be raising it some next week as it is too low at the front for my driveway with the lip I’m running.
I turned off nanny featurs while driving yesterday after I got the alert. Had no issues getting to Sport Traction or Full VSC off. Warning persisted.

I will see what happens on the drive to work today.

OK... no issues on the drive in, but on the drive home again, chassis error. Before I shut the car off when I got in the garge, used Bimmerlink to pull codes. Here is what I have:

030C5A VDM-KBS - level sensors front left signal plausibility
800ABF KAFAS camera: field of views temporarily disturbed
D90D54 NFC reader inside front: Unexpected CAN participant
21B055 Multiples DOBD message AKKS 1 (OKE): Internal communication error
21B056 Multiplex DOBD message AKKS 2 (UKE): Internal communication error

And these:

You get this resolved? Same thing happened to me after coilover install. I suspect it to be the Ride height sensor since it seems to be the common issue after suspension mods. I had a shop install them so I’m taking it back to them this week.

I cleared the codes, and car ran fine for 8 days. Then, simply cruising the flat interstates of FL, it popped on again Thursday. Sensors LOOK fine, but something is clearly wrong. It goes to the shop on Tuesday for analysis. PSI is great... we'll get it resolved.

Check to make sure the plugs for the ride height sensors are fully seated. They can be deceptive. When I first installed my HKS HAS springs I got that error and realized I just didnt fully seat the one connector. That would explain the intermittent nature, albeit i would expect it to happen more often and with bumps. Either that or check to make sure all the pins are properly fully engaged in the plugs. You might be able to tell if some of the individual boots for the pin are pushed out.

Doing brakes tomorrow so I’ll pull and reseat them all. Alignment appt is Tuesday so can have it all doublechecked.

Sensor appears fine and fully connected. I’ll leave it to the experts at the shop to diagnose.

It's tough that it's intermittent. Something could be loose and only occasionally disconnects, or whatever is being sensed is on the very edge of spec and only sometimes out.

It's cool the shop that installed the suspension will look at it. If that fails, I don't know, only wonder, if a BMW dealer might have the tools to find exactly what sensor is tripping that code?

there might be a height sensor calibration. its detecting that your car height is out of spec maybe cause car is lowered?

Yeah, I've been searching online. ISTA may be required to recalibrate. Interesting though... I'm low, but not slammed and it seems to pop the warning on smooth interstate with little to no chassis movement.

I am raising it about 1/2 to 3/4 inch on Wedesday and getting a new alignment. Love the look, but I'm scraping front lip every time I leave my driveway. I've got the code captured from Bimmerlink, so we'll have a chat and see what the shop suggests. Willing to replace and calibrate if it will solve things.
