Hey all,

I just dropped my car off to be wrap on Monday this week with metallic sandstorm color and cf roof wrap. This is the first time in wrapping the vehicle. Does wrapping the vehicle decreases the vehicle value ?

I also planning to upgrade my heat exchanger before I upgrade everything else. What's the benefits of each different brand ? Mishimoto superior than csf ?

Thanks

A lousy wrap job will reduce your car's value, especially if it strips paint on removal. Also, if its not a standard color, some people may treat it as a mod and consider it as "non-factory".

A good wrap job can maintain the paint quality years down the line, but PPF is still better (I believe PPF is thicker than a wrap).

A wrap won’t add any value to your car. Lesson i learned years ago almost any money you put into a car you will never see again that’s why i tend to buy Mods that are slightly used for a discount that are reversible down the line so you can sell them and recoupe most your money (ex JB4, intake, catback, downpipe, wheels, etc)

a buyer would always want to see the paints condition when buying a car, some people might even wrap their cars to hide things

Anything you do to your car doesn't raise the value of it. It can only raise in value if the buyer is willing to pay what you are asking for.

In my opinion, /w wrap would decrease value unless it is exceptionally well done and it is exceptionally looking new. over the time, wrap's color fades much faster than OEM hence it doesn't look as good. I've done this over 2 yrs ago and I am still happy with current look as well as knowing that my OEM paint is still fresh under the wrap. my only consolation is after removing the wrap before I sell it, paint is still scratch/swirl free which may bring few more bucks. but if you already have swirl, not going to matter..

If you get a shitty job done and they fuck the paint up, yes, it'll reduce the value. A good wrap job won't, just rip it off and get a 2 stage correction before you sell.
A 2 stage correction on the paint or the wrap ?

As in good or as in bad or.. completely unrelated..? :what:
As in FREAKING AWESOME and if all was done right with proof of pre-wrap condition...as a used Supra I'd be willing to pay more for that color all day!
