I think the biggest issue is what do you do with the horrible looking bumper when you pull said triangles off. The mounting points, holes, tabs are all under the triangle/lip. You would need to fill, sand, paint, BEFORE you even put a lip on. Now full bumper replacement is a different story but just replacing the stock lip with something other than the triangles on the side requires major work.
I don’t think I get what you’re saying. The factory black lip mounts to the car with hardware/tape like any other lip right? So why couldn’t a company design one that uses those mounting points? It’s done now with the 3d and I believe seibon. They both replace the entire lip and act as a lip and splitter combined. I’m just looking for a simple clean version that’s not carbon and doesn’t have the triangles. That way it could be painted to match the car. Otherwise you’re only option is (I’m my case) a white bumper, black lip and carbon splitter.

Like mentioned before once you remove the stock black trim. The triangle is indented into the main bumper. Only way to get rid of it is cover it with a bigger piece like 3d design or another triangle.

It would follow the contour of the bumper and would cover all of those lines. It seems like such a simple part lol

Maybe its time to get a company to custom make you something. There are not much options for what you're looking for, this is definitely a custom piece if you don't like the handful of ones that are out there. Its either that or just do a bumper swap which seems like a better idea.

You would also be better off painting the side skirts and rear spat extensions of the rear bumper body colored because the car woud look weird with a front bumper lower area body colored while the mid and rear is still dark black matte finish

Agreed but I’d run a flat carbon splitter below the new lip, something like an apr with the matching replacement skirts.

I would ideally like to eliminate all of the fins from the car and replace them with flat carbon pieces. The body lines on this car are so good that I feel like the fins detract from it, especially the small oem pieces. The mk4 never needed them to look menacing. I’d just like to go a different route from the norm I guess.

Only route would be custom, ings full bumper swap, or 3d design. Most others still use the triangle fin design in some way.
