A few thousand miles later, and writing a report here as a follow up.
There is a noticeable difference in pedal feel when braking hard. The car has a much more sensitive and firm braking signature.
I was worried, because I was still hearing the noise, but less so, after the install. However, after a few hundred miles, no problems or noises have returned. I can only attribute this to the brake cylinder brace.
