I have a 21 3.0 Premium and need new brake rotors all round. Can someone help me find the part number for the BMW counter part? Or at least which BMW year, make, and model I need to be on the lookout for when looking for rotors? Thank you!

EDIT!!!!!!!!!

Fixed the FCP Euro Link for the 345mm rear disc for the premium cars. Any quotes of this post before 4/18/23 will have the link to the rear rotors for the base/4cyl cars (330 mm)

I just had this conversation with Jackie from PhD. My car is a '22, but I don't think there were any changes to the 3.0 brakes between 21 and 22. Here are the URLs for each rotor from FCP Euro...and if you know FCP Euro, they have an insane warranty that covers consumables like this. One of my friends has used this on pads, rotors, and even brake fluid with FCP.

Fronts (There is a right and a left rotor because of the directional vanes)

Rears (Non-directional vanes, so right and left are the same p/n from Zimmermann)

This is what I needed. Thank you. I use fcpeuro for my oil changes and it’s the best.

Yeah just keep in mind the Zimmerman rotors aren't the same as the OEM ones.

True, Zimmerman is not the OEM. This is slightly apples/oranges, but I used Zimmerman rotors on my previous E36s - 3 of them...I had a problem :). I used them for street with street pads, and I used a different set for track with race pads. They always performed as expected with no undue cracking. I would not hesitate to use Zimmerman based off of my own experiences

Edit: I forgot about my 2 E30s - Zimmerman on both of them.

Damn @razorlab is a wealth of great info! You can also put your car in Amazon's site and it will show you which parts are compatible. It's usually right (lol)... However, I would absolutely use Brian's info on the sizing! Adding another useful razorlab bookmark

Sorry to bump this, one more question. How long have the stock rotors lasted you guys? I have done 2 track days and plenty of spirited drives on the back roads. Currently at 20k miles. I have the rotors added to my cart ready to check out, but just wanted to ask before pulling the trigger.

I have a spare set sitting aside. Rotors, pads, and fluid, I don’t want to be out of last minute… I will admit I had my 1st bad bed in, in a long long time. Drove to Miami in the rain, didn’t bed my new pads in before hand (I know stupid and completely forgot). So I’ll put on the new rotors now. I did my track weekend but did have rotor shudder.

Most guys like @Rocksandblues says he gets 2- 3 pad changes out of his rotors. I’ve always changed my rotors with my pads in the past because rotors were so cheap for my S2K and MX5. But if you are not doing a lot of track days, you should be able to get way more use out of yours than we do.

If you’re really interested, you can measure them with calipers and change em per specs.

Great question BTW!

Edit update: RockAuto baby!

at 19000 miles of almost all hard tracking and 3rd set of rotors. Ave one per season. I like wearing down to min spec- less rotational mass :)

They will form a wear lip on the outside and you will get to know how much life is left after a couple. put a mic on it but i doubt you are close. they also form little heat fissures. As long as you can't hang a finger nail up in them it is fine.

Casual tracking in Green groups couple times a year really won't speed the rotor wear up beyond normal use pattern.

I will also add i am using very aggressive pads so that also hastens the wear.

Sorry to bump this, finally putting the rotors on now and the rear rotors that I ordered linked here are smaller than the OEM ones. This should not be the case?

Well d@mn. I compared the front rotor up against the factory front, but I didn't do it against the rear. I'll do that this weekend. I haven't put mine on the car, as I'm waiting until just before I leave for OneLap to flush the brakes and put on the new pads/rotors.
