Hey CULaterJimzo,

the funny part is that the JB4 route isnt even that much cheaper here than a full unlock. JB4 is like 750€ + 250€ paperwork + Downpipe 1,5k + install + Paperwork 500 ish = so 3k total instead of ~5k. So I gonna try the femto route but if this for whatever reason won't work I will consider JB4 for sure, thanks.

Btw I've already paid for and packaged my ECU to be unlocked by Femto. Femto advised me to declare a value of €40 if DHL asks and recommended not to insure the shipment. Since I’m in the EU, I think DHL marked the value field as "optional," so I left it blank and didn't add insurance.
Did I mess up by doing that, or is this the correct approach? I haven't sent the package yet, so in theory, I could still pay double to change if needed.
You and the car will be much happier with the actual DME tune and not the trash piggyback.

Went to get the tune. He installed a 200 cel downpipe, MHD+ and did the dyno tune.

Can you guys check the results and tell me if its "good" ? 484 HP seems decent to me.

Screenshot 2025-06-17 122838.webp

Translation:
PS = HP
Drehmoment = RPM
Motor = Engine
Rad = Wheel

Also could you help me figure this MHD+ stuff out ? He sold me the MHD WiFi dongle and gave me the MHD key and said go figure it out lol. I could connect to the car. But I can only fast change between

-Map 1-3 and
-valve open and closed and
-"Maximum engine cooling all the time" on/off

I can't adjust the burbles/pops on a slider like I saw on some youtube videos.
He also gave me the .mhd file I could upload at "flash custom map" I guess ? Should I do this ? Seems like the maps are already on the car.

Map 1 should be maximum power, map 2 bit lower power and map 3 basically a stock map.

Thanks in advance

484.55 PS = 477.7 hp
696.8 Nm = 513.9 lb/ft

Seems about right, if not a little high.

I'm assuming the first run was with stock tune?

387 hp / 392 lb/ft

Gains of +90hp / +121tq

Thank you. Its the EU Supra which has a twin port and rated for 340 HP which in reality is around 387 and I asked for a "Stock map" so yeah I guess the first run is the stock map. I think we can see the 3 Maps he did for me, although he has Map 1 two time here, which confuses me a bit but I guess its just a typo.

Tuned with Super 98 btw which I think is basically your guys 93 octane.

Yea that dyno is probably set to be closer to flywheel numbers and not wheels. Even the 2 ports here in North America without OPF don't dyno that high to the wheels. More like 340whp or less. The 6 ports dyno 360-380whp.

However, you have a before and after which is what matters, and your gains look great.

Was it worth getting tuned? Still debating if I should want to tune and clutch.

Do you plan on upgrading the clutch or will you wait until it burns out?

Good question. I need to drive it a bit more to really get a feel for it.

I’m honestly a bit disappointed with the service: They basically just handed me the MHD+ key and said, "Figure it out yourself if you want to adjust the burbles, lol." But its probably gonna be a differtent experience for you.

The car sounds much louder and more aggressive now. The speed and responsiveness are actually kind of scary. I can’t just floor it in second or even third gear because, even with traction control on, the car immediately wants to break loose (got the OEM 275s wheels though).

Overall, I’d say yes — before, the car was really fast. Now, with the tune, it’s scary fast. It really shoves you into the seat. The top speed for the manual is 290 km/h (180 mph) btw — ask me how I know, lol. Honestly, it could probably hit 300, but it’s already bouncing off the limiter in 6th gear at 290.

I’m hoping I can figure out the exhaust settings with MHD+, but I’ll dig around the forum a bit more to see what I can find.

One thing that’s strange: I swear when I first picked up the car from the tuner, the burbles and pops were way more aggressive, and overall it was noticeably louder. I did play around a bit with MHD+, but I didn’t actually flash anything — just switched between the three tuner maps via quick shift. Now, the burbles are much more subtle and the car in general is a bit quieter. No idea why.

According to the forum the clutch can hold 500 hp and I know how to drive a stick so I will just drive it until it burns out then upgrade
