Ahaha, can't argue with numbers. I actually wasn't aware that PI and Flex Fuel are harder/not possible on BM3, since i've seen a few bm3 supras in my area on e85
Yes while it’s not possible to do true flex fuel, you can flash ethanol maps at the pump and drive away with more power. This is how these guys do that.

Femto doesn’t understand why people really really want ecutek, they told me so themselves. They really think BM3 and MHD are great and will give most users what they want.

For a basic car I agree I dont think all is needed but for anyone wanting to make real power you need Canbus integrations

Yeah absolutely, you can’t argue with the world records lists. Anyone wanting big power… anyone wanting to use the best tuners in the states… it’s an obvious choice, but an expensive one that comes with the special headache of trying to find an ecu.

Most people want it all and wont use it all.

BM3 and MHD seem like great solutions for 600 whp street cars. You can still use split second controllers and run full E.

Damn maybe I shouldve went for something else with the amount of money I'm about to sink into this car lol. Ah well, only live once! Maybe I should just know my place and shoot for low 5xxhp lol, seems like thats the feasible spot before breaking the bank

In the end I think the best advice is to ask your tuner what to do. If your tuner uses ecutek, then go down that road. If your tuner users something else, maybe you get to save some pennys

Darn - didn't know that the donor clone ECU's are unobtainable for now.

All I want is to get some extra power and be able to run my catless downpipe while passing emissions OBD test.

Good to know that with the "cracked" ECU we can still run Ethanol - just without the ability to adjust on the fly.

bFlash did announce a while back they can break into Mercedes MG1 ECUs without the need for a clone. I have a strong feeling they will soon offer this service for BMW/Supra.

Obviously Femto feels this pressure as well. I think we are on the cusp of breaking this status quo. Afterall, for every person that can't find an ECU, Femto can't make money on their services.

But yes it's dismal for now, even Visconti doesn't have anymore ECUs.

you wont pass emissions with a catless downpipe. As the OBD will see the sensors are not in ready state.

I'm confused on the statements of no map-switching and flex fuel interpolation with BM3. My BM3 custom rom tuning is showing both capabilities with all tables included...

yup I saw an ECU sell for 1900 the other day lol.

You were able to grab them for 300 when this first started.

Cant use Canbus Customrom without cloning the ECU unless you have a normal tunable ECU.
