ZF Acting up on me!

Good afternoon fellas,

Just out of curiosity I had maybe talked about this before where I would say my drive gear indicator would be delayed sometimes. My car will shift fine but the indicator sometimes stays in the same gear number for example,
Shifting from 5th to 6th once I reach 6th gear and car shifts it will still say it’s in 5th and update maybe mid rpm after that. Super weird car is forsure tripping out sometimes. Could this be the transmission position sensor needed to be replaced ? Anyone else experience this at all?
