Not i, but i have watched the fuel gauge blink (pretty cool) and the range say 9 miles.

Wonder how accurate the range is? or how far down you can go- not that i want to

Wish the temp gauge had some relevancy- seems to have a wide middle and no real reference. I watch the oil temps anyway on JB4- habit from long BMW ownership

Depends on how you drive that last 9 miles. I haven't really spend time on the gauge on the Supra, but my wife's Compass re-calculates the range every few minutes (maybe seconds, I dunno) and you get a different range reading.. Do we have that in the Supra?
I think you look like a candidate for buying a gallon container and trying this :) Let us know :)
Dunno what happens to the car at fuel starve..

I would definitely be worried about fuel starvation. I refuel at 1/4 tank minimum.

Reminds me of that Seinfeld episode.. haha.

I haven't tried it in a Supra, but in my daily driver, I once got the reading to say 0 miles remaining, and still was able to put on 15 or so miles before I finally found a gas station. It was quite the nerve wrecking drive though.

Not that it's a good idea, but I took it down to 11 miles left and put in 13 gallons of gas last week. It was definitely recalculating often based on my driving, at least from 60 miles left and down (I saw it go from 45 to 50 miles left).
Based on my driving habits when I'm pushing it to get to my normal 93 fillup area, I'd estimate it's keeping ~.5 gallon in reserve on the calculations, but it can't possibly be a good idea to let it get towards zero, even if driving as if you're hypermiling. 1/4 tank like @puzzled said makes much more sense outside of emergencies and is generally what I shoot for in all my vehicles (sometimes 1/8th)
My big problem is it's 35 miles away from home to get 93 octane gas and I'm only in that area three times a week on average. The Supra encourages much less efficient driving habits than my WRX, so I'm still getting used to how much gas I need to last four days until I get back to the good gas again. Weekend joyrides definitely don't help.

Toast- Sounds like may be a good idea to keep a jerrycan or two of 93 octane with stabilizer just in case.

I only drive like 1000 miles a year on my Supra so each fill I mix Stabil360. This also goes for my STI and Golf-R starting late July as I don't know how many more fills I would do before hibernation.

Fair point and a good idea, but my backup plan for the Supra is putting in just enough 91 octane, which just got a little easier to get near home. Before a couple months ago, rec-90 was the best I could do within 30 miles, and I would only blend a gallon in with at least a gallon of 93 in the WRX tank if necessary.
The only reason I didn't do that this time was I wanted to get down to a low level once so I could see what I could do in a more desperate situation, like a trip on a thruway and missing a rest stop gas station

I suppose if you're not running any maps that require 93 octane you're fine running 91 all the time. My JB4 is based on 91 octane even though I'm running 93 exclusively.
