No one here is saying they want tiny little mirrors. What I have, and many others have expressed is that we want stylish mirrors to match the body work. Not bland and oversize units from an outgoing 3-series. My earlier example are the ones found on the E89. They are not too small or larger, and the styling matches the exterior body. As for Supra93's rendering, I like the style and they could be made larger for more practicality reasons. While tiny side mirrors may make for a more attractive design, this car is going to have huge blind spots, so for driveability I would much prefer the larger mirrors mandated in Europe.
The good news here is that at least one of the camo'ed cars had an indicator light of the type used by blind spot monitoring systems on the passenger side mirror, so BSM will at least be an option if not standard equipment.
That looks nice and I hope that will be the case, but the spy shots look like it was an after thought. Like someone decided at the last minute to just put on a fake panel on the door to make it look similar to the FT1.Excuse the fast Paint job, but maybe it will be like this?

Well that rendering you cited as a great example for the Supra without any qualifications in your op sure had tiny mirrors. These would need to be tripled in height to be truly practical, which would change the look considerably. No one here is saying they want tiny little mirrors. If you go back before that I said things need to be "size appropriate". As far as the rendering goes I was really addressing HKz and said was it was a good example of non-door mounted mirrors can still look good.Well that rendering you cited as a great example for the Supra without any qualifications in your op sure had tiny mirrors. I'm not sure there is any way to make a large side mirror look really good on such a small car as the production Supra - a proportion problem. The Pagani mirror looks good, but it's on a much bigger car - and it's still too small for ideal visibility.
How many years has it been since this masterpiece graced the earth! and as I'm scrolling down, it still stopped me in my tracks. Straight perfection. What a special car.More like the Enzo IMO

I think it looks plain because we are all use to the see through hood on the FT1. I also hope Toyota spice things up a bit for the front.Another thing I noticed unless the camo is just doing a really good job, but the hood seems wide and plain. I would hope the final product has a bit more character to it. As of right now it reminds me of a egg shell. It could surely use more lines.
that is the one design cue we haven't seen any sight of. would love it even if it came blacked out and not transparentI think it looks plain because we are all use to the see through hood on the FT1. I also hope Toyota spice things up a bit for the front.
