Personally I wouldn't buy anything other than ZF branded fluids for the transmission.. I don't think the rear diff is anything special so redline would work fine.do you have a link?
According to the maintenance manual, never. Or at least not within the first 120,000 miles of driving the car. The only reference made to the trans and diff fluids is if they are inspected and found to be leaking, then service is required. At what mileage would you change the fluids for the rear differential and transmission?
Wow. Now I'm confused.According to the maintenance manual, never. Or at least not within the first 120,000 miles of driving the car. The only reference made to the trans and diff fluids is if they are inspected and found to be leaking, then service is required.
Depends how you drive it. I've changed mine out once already.Wow. Now I'm confused.
"For the ZF 8 speed automatic transmissions FCP Euro recommends an initial drain and fill service after 35,000 miles and 50,000 miles with services every 50,000 miles after."
120K sounds a bit extreme, while 35K seems a bit premature.
How’d you do it? Drop pan only? Remove cooler lines, etc? Looks like there’s a lot of controversy over the proper procedureDepends how you drive it. I've changed mine out once already.
