On the other hand, you see this and say, "Gee, your mom's X5 interior sure looks swell... Oh wait, that's an M240i???"

Correct...

That blue stripe and blue stitching aint enough. lol

You know your interior sucks, when you can't even confidently guess what it is from the inside. = Nothing Special

The Supra needs to be special. And not BMW special.

I truly don’t mind a luxury type of interior to go with Supra. However I hope we have an option for cloth or leather. I’m not a real big fan of leather, once it starts peeling and getting all yucky it becomes a eye sore.

haha, this is exactly my point!
You should be able to tell which car it is just by looking inside.
With most BMWs, you certainly cant lol.

You guys are on it.
Im glad we're on the same page :)

According to the resident insider on Bimmerpost, the Z4 and Supra/SPX will share a lot of the same interior trim materials and colors. One of those options is alcantara, also leather and cloth. They will also share some of the same exterior colors as well.

Thats good to hear!
So they will share same ''meterials, colours''
Doesn't say anything about sharing the same design ;)

Geez, it’s almost like no one can take a photo? “Just how shitty can I take this photo and post it on the internet”

But the red leathers seats make my pants tight

yep, but sadly every idiot under the sun read it as "same design"

lol
Yup, and that's evident when you look at the interior spy shots. I'm just hoping to see some Alcantara, Alcantara eerrrrthang.

Side not, I love red seats, I had a Z4 M coupe and I had red leather seats on it, they were just amazing to look at when you're walking towards your car.

I have my doubts.
Definitely dont think we'll get a flat bottom or ''engine start'' button the steering wheel
I mean, a base 2017 Nissan Rogue has a flat-bottom steering wheel.

In terms of modern, affordable sports cars, I think cars like the 86, 370z and MX5 have got the design pretty well bang on the money for being driver focused and giving you just the essentials needed

These right here...
Literally all you need!!!
Having driven all three of those and owned an 86 and BMW, there are good elements to both. One thing all three of those sports cars lack and make unbearable is good sound insulation. They're all terrible from a NVH perspective which also has to do with their taut suspensions and crap stock tires (outside the miata). Ditching my BMW run flats was the best thing I've done to this car. There's something to be said for having a plush interior and I do appreciate my BMW for that. On the flip side, there are just too many damn buttons in the center stack which is where the 370/86 shine in their simplicity.

+10000 on the red seats but I'll pass on the Alcantara -- don't want the maintenance hassle.

Apparently Alcantara steering wheels are the worst offenders - they get grungy and can't be cleaned properly.
