Shout out to Robbie at Protective Film Solutions in north Scottsdale Az...I think mine was his 5/6 Supra...not easy he used the 72” XPEL roll for the hood...said too many guys try to stretch the smaller roll. 1799 for full front inc mirrors. Good guy with 5 star reviews across the board. Highly recommend. Had to get this McLaren out of the way first....lol...

I don't know if this will help older posters as this is an old thread but hopefully, this video will help others interested in getting PPF or will be trying to install it themselves. Here's a video that I made showcasing some of the processes.
Thanks for the video. Did your installers use Xpel stealth for the front lip spoiler and matte areas? I want to avoid the glossy look from regular Xpel.

Nevermind, I checked the replies in your comments section. You used Xpel Stealth.

The front bumper is definitely a challenge especially with the thicker films like Kavaca. The shop I went to had to redo front bumper twice just to get it right.

Come up to Austin. I had a great experience with these guys:

http://bespokepp.com/

Here’s my Supra:

It’s been a while since you had the suntek ppf ultra applied at bespoke. Still happy with it?

That’s the same shop and ppf I’ve been considering for my 2021 but I haven’t pulled the trigger on it.

Thanks for the info!

Still happy with it for sure; it’s held up perfectly and saved me more than a few times from road debris. I’m heading back to them in the next couple of weeks to do my APR front splitter which is arriving soon.

Hey guys, i'm reviving this thread. I consider myself pretty damn lucky but i'm picking up an A91 Refraction next week....i made a concession i don't typically do with sports cars given it's an automatic but the color is amazing, they only made like 490 of these things, and there is no guarantee that Toyota will offer it in a manual, just rumor...so, tired of waiting. Anyway, the car has roughly 3k miles on it and doesn't yet have any PPF on it. Curious to know what are the key areas to protect. I got a quote for full front but that didn't include A pillars or partial roof. My question is, where do these cars fling rocks and need protection? My previous Z car, little did i know, the front tires would throw rocks and they would hit the lower rocker just in front of the rear wheels. My 17 GTI does something similar but the rear door seams take the hit. Had i known that w/ the Z, i would have PPF'd the rockers (the GTI is the DD, don't give a shit). Is the Supra susceptible to this too? What are the must-do areas for PPF? TIA advance guys, can't you how stoked i am to join the Supra family, could give two shits if it's a BMW or not, it's an amazing vehicle and you get a ton for the money.

~ I would strongly suggest the entire front nose, headlights, a pillars, lower edge of the doors, black rocker panels (matte film), inside the lower door jambs.

Additionally, I would add the discrete splash guard front & rear (ZL1 Addons).

Yeah, ordered the splash guards from ZL1 addons, they look low profile and should work well. The PPF guy quoted the A-pillars and roof separate as well as the rocker panels....he wants $500 for just the rockers....ouch...especially since those are likely to be template pieces. Still debating on those two add ons.

~ This is what I began with noted above … then I decided to wrap the whole damn car in xpel ppf film.

Yes it’s an investment but zero regrets and it gives me great piece of mind when driving it… now at 6,700 miles.

Yeah, might have to take it in phases. If i wrapped all the trouble areas, the guy local to me wanted damn near $2800. That said, they are a place that doesn't just slap on stuff via templates, they apply it in bulk. Thanks for the advice everyone, appreciate it!

$2800 isn’t too bad. Whole cars are 5k and up but totally worth the price, had mine wrapped in XPEL stealth and honestly i think was worth every penny for peace of mind.
