BMW is the winner with fake vents, don't expect to have save the Supra from fake vents. It is unfortunate that Toyota made the FT-1 with real vents, when they clearly knew the production car would not be built that way.

No, it's a part of the door. It's on the GR concept exactly the same. The FT1 concept vent is in the door. If the plastic was covering a vent, it would be sitting too far back and virtually in the rear wheelarch.

The fact that Toyota have showed it off in the GTsport trailer and in GTsport itself, to me, says it's a part of the design.

Will save your quote for when the production car is shown :)

im still not convinced that it will have that odd panel. I don't think it will look like the concept either though. I do believe there's still a couple of misleading bits on the mules
Thatā€™s what im saying....the mules look ā€œout of shapeā€ compared to the concept. I canā€™t quite describe it, but the mules look too short wheelbased and bloated whereas the concept looks more stretched out and smooth flowing lines. Those side vents are bad....they gotta go or reincarnate the MKIVā€™s lower side vents.

why not? pretty much identical to the GT86's fender garnish except being on the door..

you can swap it out or if you're put off by it guess you could always mold it in :dunno:

I have a few ideas.

1. The concept car is lowered at 48.4 inches. The leaked specs has the production car at 50.8 inches. Obliviously having the car lowered will give a slightly more sleeker appearance.

2. At the auto show, photographers have all the time in the world to find the best angle to take photos. Whereas spy photographers do not have that luxury. They just snap as much photos as they can in the short amount of time available.

3. As mention by Guff several times, distance, angle, and camera lens can all distort the appearance of an object.

Lastly, the wheelbase on the concept car is 97.2 inches. I highly doubt the production car will be less then that.

Pretty sure that's just a shadow. Besides, why would the intake be that high? The brakes are located much lower, and this isn't a mid engine car we're talking about.

The camo is doing it's job then.

One of the big things is the covered side glass and rear windscreen. photoshop it black - and the whole car becomes less 'top heavy'

checking this thing out in a metallic blue on GT sport - it is going to be a very, very pretty car. classical design cues.
