I hear you. I wasn't hating on the 4 banger either. I just like having a vehicle that has VERY few out there if I can. I also agree about the BMW comments by most people. In all honesty I was between this (a couple of other cars) and an M4. A used M4 with the competition pack plus all the other goodies and low mileage was running north of $60k for 16-17 model years. You go newer and it was even higher. It just didn't add up to me the more and more I looked at it. I think this is a pretty awesome car and looks unbelievably good!Agree with the majority here in just enjoying what you have and it would be a LONG time before this model is an investment. Doesn't take away from how epic the MKV is though in all aspects!
And some seem to hate on the 2.0, but it's a super small percentage of production (like 15% I believe). I enjoy the more agile feel and the 220 pound difference is very noticeable (coming into and out of each corner). I'm on a E30 tune now (Pro tune from Jesse DaBears) that is right there with a stock 3.0 and using Dragy I'm at 4.1 second to 60mph with just a few logs and far from prefect launches. It's proper quick and really fun in the twisties ;b All the "nice BMW" comments are 99.9% from people that simply can't afford them. Shame some people can't appreciate all cars and not just the brand and model they own...this one's a keeper for me!

Oh no worries man. A low mileage M4 would be really awesome too. I've looked at those several times! I came to the same conclusion though and could never pull the trigger. The Supra on the other than I couldn't wait and haven't looked back since ;b Epic looks, superb handling and fantastic performance, this car has all the checkboxes ticked in my book.I hear you. You're telling me my 2% raise per year is trash? </3 I'm telling my bossThey are not selling above MSRP in my area. I would point out that we are in an inflationary period in the US. Your cash is devaluing at 6% a year. Buy a tangible asset now as the prices are sure to go up.
Prior to 2019 it wasn't... but yeah, it definitely isn't a COLA increase any longer. If they keep printing like they have been (and buying T-bonds/MBS debt, etc.) even a 6% increase won't keep up.You're telling me my 2% raise per year is trash? </3 I'm telling my boss
If I got even close to 10% for an annual raise, or option grant I’d lose my shit and put two weeks in on the spot. Perks of working in tech I guess.so they're definitely not going to be handing out 10% raises.
Sooo, you're saying you were overpaid AF in the past? What are all these raises you guys are talking about? My pay plan hasnt changed in 10 years....
Nope. Not at all. I am on hourly + commission. Hourly pay hasnt changed, sales have just gone way up. Now I am just over worked haha.Sooo, you're saying you were overpaid AF in the past?
Could be a commissions thing. If you are hourly you should get raises yearly.Nope. Not at all. I am on hourly + commission. Hourly pay hasnt changed, sales have just gone way up. Now I am just over worked haha.
Possibly but it still should go up as minimum wage does. It's like if my hourly rate was $10 more than minimum wage 10 years ago, it should still be $10 more than today's current rate but thats not the case. If they made the supra 10 years ago, it wouldnt be the same price as the last model, right?Could be a commissions thing. If you are hourly you should get raises yearly.
Yeah, our sector basically got a huge boost during the pandemic. Remote workforce realities suddenly made IT a much more visible/critical infrastructure expense, even for the most ignorant executives. That's definitely not the case for many direct services and b&m retailers however. If I got even close to 10% for an annual raise, or option grant I’d lose my shit and put two weeks in on the spot. I've been FT remote (actual FT remote, not "work from home") for almost over a decade over a few jobs. But I wasn't speaking during pandemic times, just generally.Yeah, our sector basically got a huge boost during the pandemic.
