Interesting...not denying your issues, sounds more like a one off issue more than the norm.Hmmm... like a 3jz? :O
If this is true, I will trade my car in and get the new 100% Toyota Supra. I have always been a Toyota guy. I've several Toyotas and never had to bring in a car for a warranty issue. EXCEPT... This car.. I've officially owned my 3.0 for a year. In that year I've brought it for oil consumption issues, a recall and a CEL due to a bad sparkplug.
This partnership doesn't really represent Toyota's Reliability.
No issues to report here after 5K miles and almost a year of ownership. My Blackstone report confirms it.Hmmm... like a 3jz? :O

LFA was a fantastic car. Wish I could of owned one before they the ended production. I believe they were losing money on each sale, right? It takes 3-5 years to develop, test and make production equivalent parts. I donāt see Toyota dropping that type of coin to make an all Toyota car.
This GR Supra isnāt Toyotaās money maker. Did we forget about the LFA fiasco so soon? ?

I heard that with BMW it can go either way; either you have a great car no issues for years or you get a shitty one that has problem after problem. No issues to report here after 5K miles and almost a year of ownership. My Blackstone report confirms it.

I think youāre right. After this series is discontinued the next Supra will be a hybrid or an EV version. All efforts are headed in that direction.LFA was a fantastic car. Wish I could of owned one before they the ended production. I believe they were losing money on each sale, right?
Also, I know that Toyota does have a patent for a V8 twin turbo engine. I doubt they would ever put that in a Supra. My guess would be something electric if they developed a 100% Toyota Supra.
This seems likely to be the end result. But I wouldn't purchase a Supra for 100k. 100k might be MSRP and I'm sure dealers would mark it up to an insane price. From anything Iāve seen Toyota is stopping the production because they donāt want to make it hybrid or fully electric which would be the direction it would go. I know theyāre talking about the GRMN edition which uses the S65? BMW engine (I think itās that one but canāt remember off the top of my head) but itās limited production and over 100k
