I've seen a lot of guys go with a pure 800 turbo. Why not go with a Pure 650 or something smaller than the Pure 800 (assuming your power goals are around 500-650 )

That would be nice but they don’t make a pure 650 for the a90 that I seen.

Why was the pure 700 discontinued?
the 800 makes more power without any significant additional lag. No advantages of going with the 700 over the 800 as far as i know

The 700 and 800 were priced very close together and there wasn't any substantial difference in lag. Probably why the 700 is discontinued. You get the same performance from the 800 at the same price point but with a higher ceiling.

The bigger question is why Pure won't release a stage 1 turbo for the A90 like they have for the N55 and BMW B58.

ahh gotcha.

I've heard the pure 800 has some lag. Is there another turbo that has better spooling for the track?

Yeah. Your stock turbo. Not sure what kinda track you doing but the stock turbo is comparable to a gt3076r which is more than sufficient for time attack and drag..

From my understanding, the stock turbo is good for something around 450-500. I wanted something similar to what Jackie Ding is running which is around 600.

I can opt for a Pure 800 turbo to achieve those numbers but from what I've hearing, it feels laggy on track.

Since AMS only makes a turbo for the 2 port, I was hoping you guys would be able to recommend something that is similar to that product except for a 6 port.

The pure turbos don’t have lag usually. The only time there is lag is if you’re in higher elevated areas because of the thinner air. I’m at sea level so there is no lag whatsoever. It’s subjective to tunes as well.

Pure700 is priced the same as the 800. Honestly, you’ll barely hit 500 on pump on the 800 so it would be more stress on the smaller turbo. It’s the same argument as doing a e50 tune on stock turbo. Although, a lot of us just want to stay pump
