Who here is running the Pure 800 or Pure 850? I’m thinking about upgrading to 1 of the 2 and I was wondering how reliable it’s been, how much power is being made and should I go with the 800 or 850.

Just wanna make a little over 500 wheel after that I’m done performance wise.
Stock Turbo can get you there on an Ethanol Blend, E30, E40, or E50ish. Add Meth and you're close or over 550whp depending on how aggressive the tune is.

Yes, stock turbo can you get you there BUT the stock turbo will be maxed out and extreme heated up, The lifespan of your stock turbo will be greatly shorten. If you don’t care about that, go for it!!!!

You can do two tunes (Ecutek) on a pure 800/850. One on lowboost at 93 octane gas at around 500-530whp and another one on race gas on high boost at 600-700whp…

Why don’t you just max out the current turbo until it blows THEN upgrade to the 800 with a less aggressive tune? Maximizing your time

I had an 850 with port injection for about 100 miles and the car was a complete missile, but the turbo somehow seized and had to be replaced. Replaced it with an 800 and it still feels nearly just as fast, incredibly smooth, and has been very reliable. Pure replaced the turbo under their warranty. Now the car pulls and pulls and pulls.

I highly recommend upgrading the trans with at least a pure drivetrain solutions stage 1 kit at a minimum if you’re planning on running anything other than the stock turbo. You’ll never be able to extract all the power the turbo can make reliably without trans work. I was slipping on a 600hp map on the stock trans.

I am running Pure800. I also have the following mods
- AMS Catted DP
- AMS Charge pipe
- AMS Heat Exchanger
- Visconti Flex Fuel
- AMS Intake
- Verus Air Oil Separator
- Snow Performance Methanol Injection - Stage 2
- Ecutek - E40 tune (MarinTuned)

600+ wheel on a not so aggressive tune.

^^^ catless dp and e50 tune can get you to right up to about 500whp.

I made 490 to 499 and over 620 wheel torque with just a downpipe and ethanol tune

Simple and effective
