I wouldnt doubt if that is the case. Right after a car is released a design team almost start immediately working on a facelift. The reason is because even though the Supra debuted in 2019 the design was already locked in 2-3 years prior. So inorder to have a refresh version ready in 3-4 years from the initial launch work usually starts a lot sooner then most people think.
Correct, according to the patent info, the final design was already locked in back in late 2016.

i don’t think people realize how limited this car is. It’ll only be our 5-6 years. There’s won’t be a facelift. Think of it like a Shelby gt350, very minor changes (mostly performance) over a small amount of time

I bet the driver assist and engine cooling stuff hinders drastic facelift possibilities. I don't see Toyota changing the now iconic nose and headlight design. That leaves very little to play with.
I feel like the CF came out as Toyota saw people doing CF kits and they're like yeah, we'll keep our promise and feature limited builds. It'll keep people happy for a while. I expect similar trickery....
Is there a milestone coming up anytime soon? Toyota's, Supra's or GR's x th year, some heritage. Some other Japanese turnpikes (Hakone) name for color variants...
Yet, I also feel like introduction of MT by itself would be unsatisfactory or inadequate hype to keep customers from MT Z's, Evoras, etc.
Well Evora is in different price category but still...

i dont think you realize how BMW works. the LCI (facelift) for the Z4 has already been confirmed. 6-7 yrs is typical for when looking at the lifecycle of past Zs.

You geniuses do realize the last Celica (6 yrs & 9 months) and MR2 (7 yrs & 9 months) both didn't have super long life cycles either, and they both received a refresh.

If the end of production date for the J29 is still accurate (3/2019-3/2026) then that would give it a total time frame of 6 yrs and 11 months.

This car isn’t using a 6-7 year cycle though.

There is nothing official out now. Only thing out in the wild is a picture of what looks to be a GR Supra interior with a manual transmission. No word on if it's for the B48, B58, or both.
The person that posted the screen shot and @A70TTR both have said it's for the 3.0.

How much more do you want the interior to be driver focused?? Put the passenger on the roof?

The car is modeled after a Formula One car. The nose and the "wings" on the front bumper are to resemble the front wing, the reverse light a rain light on an F1 car, and the side "vents" resemble the side pods. The wrap around red leather in the LE is to resemble the cockpit. That's why the passenger door is black.

Can't see anything to focus it more.
Maybe a Kimi Raïkkonen Edition with a plaque that says “Leave me alone, I know it’s a BMW.”
