Hopefully the rumours are true that merc are quite a bit ahead in development with the new car than other teams that they’ll mop the floor with the cry babies again. Given Merc didn’t even use any tokens this year next years car should be a rocket.
If memory serves me, the first year in any new formula tends to have one standout car. I know it was true for the W05, the BGP001 and the MP4/13…

The good news is the engines stay the same. So if there's a standout team, it's because of aero, and that's quickly copied by the others. Mercedes had their dominance because of their engines for the most part, which are obviously hard to copy.

All Access: George Russell's Last Day At Williams

looking back on prediction challenge, 8th for Williams Team was more like wishful rather than realistic. HAAS' results were somewhat expected but standing above Alpha Romeo was a bit of surprise and well done to Williams team.

Wow, I can't believe Mercedes have already made it this far in development for 2022...Lol.

In all seriousness though, I think it says a lot to upload this early.
Putting 2021 behind them and looking onward to next year and the start of George Russell's time at the pinnacle of Mercedes power.

They've been working on those cars for 2 years. They were supposed to be introduced this season, but because of Covid they delayed it a year. These cars were ready a long time ago.

If there is one thing modern athletes, celebrities, and politicians have taught us... it's that living in a bubble full of yes-men and constant media attention does nothing positive as far as character quality is concerned. I guess I'd also say that anything involving armies of attorneys isn't likely to be entirely fair or even legal (ironically).

Demo car. We won't see the real thing till the tests start.
Yeah, there are no adjustment points on the front wing and i can't see a DRS pod in the back. .

I wonder though, when testing comes, if they will during the first test try and bluff. like any team will bring out parts that they just want to test the car with but the real aero is waiting for the second test so they can't be copied. Like they make an aero package just to test the new wheels, suspension and brakes and all, then pull out the real car March 10th.. Of course, that wouldn't give you a lot of time to fix anything you found that way.

That's exactly what they do. They test everything a million times in simulators and wind tunnels. Then they take it to the test to see if their real world data is the same as their computer data. The tests themselves are more for finding problems only driving long distances will show. If cooling is adequate, vibrations making a part fail, tire tests, that kind of stuff. We won't know anything about pace for sure until qualifying at the first race, until then, it's all cloak and daggers.
