I've got two low-key dumb questions:

#1 What makes all those mechanical "whirrrring" noises right after you unlock the car before you get in? Sounds like its something in the engine bay.

#2 Is there a reason for this flat rectangle on the passenger side front grill?

1. Fuel pump or something.
2. Driver assistance, radar sensor behind it on passenger side. Blank driver side

I always thought that sound was from electronic braking

The fuel pump makes sense, but I feel that noise comes from the ECU area under the hood. Wouldn’t a fuel pump make the noise toward the rear? Is my car a ventriloquist? Or better question, where is the fuel pump located on the Supra?

HPFP is on the passenger side in the engine bay. LPFP is in the tank.

Honestly, I have no idea what all that noise is when you turn the car off and exit. You can trigger it again by closing the hatch or hood. Sounds an awful lot like small plastic gears turning, and can be heard from both ends of the car. The only thing I can think of is the AVS solenoids/motors trying to adjust damping even though the car isn't running. It's a MMMRREEEEEAAAHHHGGG sound and lasts one second or less.

My thinking was this is an electronic brake pressurizing. Since we don't have a manual parking brake, it's all electronic. So when you open the door, the brake pressurizes so make sure it didn't get loose/lose pressure while it was parked.

Your second question had to be a joke?

The big circle in the cabin is to steer.

I know for a fact that it isn't the Electronic Parking Brake actuators. The EPB actuators make a very different sound, and the noise I'm talking about comes from the front of the vehicle 75% of the time.
