Alright. Sounds like there is enough interest that I should make a few extra sets. Its not going to look like a hack job, dont you guys worry. This is by far not my first fab project and there isnt much fab to it. Literally just one bend and a couple flares.

Bad news, I have 1000 miles to go before I change my oil. Thats probably another 2 months worth of driving so I hope you guys can be patient!

More than patient, still getting my motor inspected under the microscope by Toyota to see if they will replace it for oil consumption.
Need a test dummy? Happy to help, also run my own manufacturing business. I have to add oil every fucking 600 miles. Once they take the torque seal off my engine cap and drain plug I think I would be of some help.

I honestly don't know why you'd need to remove it before going to a dealer. As long as it's not causing the issue you are bringing it to a dealer for, I don't see why they would say anything. I worked at dealers for years, I wouldn't have flagged anything like this unless you were bringing it in for oil leaking. Otherwise, I'd probably try and figure out wtf is going on here, once I realized I'd call my buddies over and be like, would you look at this... fixed an issue BMW screwed up lolol.

Honestly the no dipstick isn't a bother to me IF they had a proper sensor that actually showed you, your level of oil. Not a simple full or add.. since they don't it does bug me. but if they could fix that so i can see exactly what level the oil is id be ok with no dipstick.

Ok, the original plan is going to change a bit. I am scrapping the aluminum tube idea because I dont think its going to look too great and because I dont feel like making a jig for the ease of replication. When I get home today, I am going to pop off the cover for the drain bolt to see how much room I actually have to deal with. If there is enough room, the dipstick tube will be made from braided steel AN hose and have a billet handle. That also meaning, its going to be a bit more expensive but nothing too crazy. I will take a mock up picture for you guys to see what the final product will look like.

Thats cause we aint got nothin else right now! But thank you!
Sean, start a list and ask for a small deposit. I'm more than willing to do this right now. It will help you in planning your project. The dip stick is a great idea everyone should have one. Post your thoughts.

Getting a list together of the interested party isnt a bad idea. However, I do not want to get any sort of deposits until I 100% verify that this is going to work and get my prices nailed down. Honestly, if there are enough people interested, I may just change my oil early so we can get this moving sooner than later.

For now, I will update the first post with a list of everyone who said they are somewhat interested.

Also, this will be available in black, so I will need to know what color each person is interested in.

Alright guys. The last part I was waiting for came in today. I am going to go ahead and dump my oil early and get this all installed. If I can somehow come up with enough energy after work, I will do it tonight. Dont count on it though.
