That was how I did mine before I redid it and added black zip ties. I did what Zack is suggesting to you.

Yes, I am also the same currently. I may spend some time and see what I can come up with. I was just trying to copy someone else’s homework.

I’m currently in the market to get one and was thinking about this. If I do go this route I’m going to try and 3d print something for it. I’ll let you guys know if I come up with any good options but really need to install one to see what reasonable options are.

I took an aluminum Ikea door handle for wardrobe to make a little bracket. The JB4 and wireless module is zip tied to the bracket. There is a bolt sticking out from side of the engine bay so used that to secure the bracket. My unit is secure, no play.

Okay now I'm not sure whether you're being sarcastic or true.. ?

:dunno:

example: 400Z looks like an anus = not sarcastic, just a fact.

Not sarcastic at all. It’s the first one that was different from all the rest of us. Not ideal yet but progress to what I’m thinking.

i I have the JB4 Velcroed to the wall infront of the brake booster with the wireless phone connection module zip tied to the JB4 unit itself.

Does anyone have the STL or cad file for the 3d printed jb4 mount?

i used the double wide bracket suggested here and used the grounding stud. will need to hog out the hole a tiny bit with a drill. orient the bracket at a slight downward angle (about 20 degrees) and you should be able to mount the jb4 without making contact with the firewall or the rain cover.

Rather than velcro, I used 3M dual lock tape. The same stuff that comes with your Tollway I-pass/E-ZPass. Use an extra long strip on the jb4 itself so you can adjust it either way. And then a pair of zip ties in an X configuration to make it extra secure once you're happy with the position.
