They are all turbo, but I'm thinking that RZ better have 380+ hp. I expect the SZ-R to be lower power like 335...

There is some conflicting info outside of my sources that say the SZ-R is a 250hp 4cyl turbo and that SZ is a 185hp 4cyl, but that makes zero sense to me for two reasons. Why design a Supra, with such intent on 6cyl, test said 6cyl forever in the 3070lb car, and then release two 4cyl models?

185hp 4cyl makes zero sense when you have a more powerful lower priced 86 around. 250hp 4cyl sounds like the IS200t motor and the RZ is what seems to be the trim to look forward to.

That weight difference needs better exploration.

Being that all trims are turbo and if this car is +335hp at 3070 lbs that would be golden. Assuming it has the overboost function. I would gladly take this trim over the highest trim.

Weight manages to find its way into trim levels pretty easily these days.

For example, let's look at the Lexus IS, the base model was the IS250, which had a 2.5L V6 that weighed in at about 370 lb. The top model was the IS F, the 5.0L V8 weighed in at about 500 lb for a difference of 130 lb. The car overall though, IS250 curb weight: 3435 lb, IS F curb weight: 3780 lb; a difference of 345 lb.

There are other components that are going to change between trim levels that add weight beside the engine (brakes, transmission, differential, optional items like power seats, etc.).

I suspect the SZ/SZ-R/RZ grade levels won't get marketed as such in North America either. Probably something lamer. They were Japan-only grades on the A80 anyway. We'll probably get something catchy like "Turbo".

Even the A70 had completely different trims in the US vs Japan and elsewhere.

All 991.2s are turbo.. but they have Carrara and Carrara Turbo. So it maybe just Supra, Supra S and Supra Turbo

It will be interesting to see if GR appears anywhere on the US-spec cars. I suspect it won't. From what Toyota has said, the GR brand isn't coming to North America any time soon. Nicely evidenced by the new Nascar version.

GRMN is essentially their NISMO
