I'm trying to find some track use rotors, such as girodisc but can't find anything track related. What guys do you use for track?

I used PLATZ rotors on an AMG and I know they make rotors for our cars. Very high quality great customer service. Highly recommend.

For some reason they don't list the parts on their website but I DMd them and they sent me EBAY links if you're interested.

The stock rotors are ok for track use; just change fluid and pads. Could even get rotors off FCPeuro for lifetime replacement. My recommendation is that if you want to get more heat capacity, get a front BBK from AP or Stoptech

I track mine a lot. Stock rotors are great for track use, just change the pads and fluid as said above.

If you want to upgrade, next best thing would be a big brake and IMO not needed unless doing some competitive time attacks. Even then, not really necessary. Stock rotors are great.

I done a track day yesterday with upgraded pads and the weak point is the rotors, they just can’t dissipate the heat, so annoying there are no options here in the uk

What pads and brake fluid were you using? If you noticed any kind of fade or spongy brake pedal, I highly doubt the OEM rotors were the problem, as they can more than hold their own with heavy track use.

I know because I track my car 3-4 times a month and use stock rotors with Castrol SRF brake fluid and CSG brake pads.

Edited for: maths
I’ve had a good experience with the stock rotors too, but if you’re trying to get fancy then Racing Brake has a nice kit with 2-piece rotors front and rear and includes brake pads. Overall, it shaves off a little over 6.3 kg of rotational mass.

The link says it only saves 14 lb, where are you getting the other 54 lb?

Running ebc pads, far from an extreme track day pad and standard fluid, didn’t have pedal travel, they just got stupidly hot. Could see the heat marks on the rotors and I weren’t exactly hard on them, 348mm on a 1500kg car is a bit small

Well, it’s simple. Once you remove the old brake rotors, pads, and calipers, don’t put on anything in its place.
But yeah that was a typo caused by a brain fart.

If its your first track day, no. You'll be learning the car, not going 100%. But if you decide its the thing for you, then you should do so afterwards.

I did my first track day at 4500 miles and had no issues. At one point I thought I cooked my trans bc I began to smell something like the clutch was burning. Turns out that it was just the brakes getting really hot. Never experienced brake fade throughout the day so I don’t think you’ll need to do and fluid changes.
