I watched this video as well. His 10.45 was stock downpipe stage 1 tune on 93 octane with xHP. His 9.1 run was on E30 stage 1, stock downpipe with xHP. xHP alone didn't drop his time from 10.45 to 9.1 seconds. He flashed xHP and swapped to E30.
oh ok. So the 1.5 second drop was more from the fuel than the xhp….it was too long of a video so I just assumed he was stock cuz at the end he says he is stock

He keeps saying "stock" through out that entire video but he's running tunes lol. He's running stage 1 93octane and stage 1 E30 mix.

Stage 3 xHP tune took my 60-130 from a 8.60 to a 8.27. Thats about what id expect, not a second and a half lol. Though i did almost have a full tank of fuel on the 8.27 run, i dont recall what i did back on the 8.60 run, that was months ago, but with in a degree for temp DA almost the same and the exact same place on the road, since its close by, its not valid because of the decline at the end, but its good for testing as no one is around

How does it feel having xHP now? I'm anxiously awaiting my install which should be sometime early next week.

Finally got my Thor dongle in and flashed to stage 3. The shifting is incredibly fast, similar to a dct. I did have a check engine light on after flashing and have these codes, not sure if any of these codes were there prior to the flash. I’ve cleared them numerous times but they keep coming back. Anybody know if this is anything to worry about?

Took the time to google the codes and apparently the radiator shutter codes are a glitch about a part our cars don’t even have and the DTC codes are because I lowered my car recently.

Just to inform, besides the mhd orange BT adapter I have flashed my car using the obd2 to Ethernet to lightning (don’t remember the correct name) using my iPhone. The same connection i use to flash bm3 maps from my iPhone to the car. So if you guys have that connector try it before spending money on a wireless adapter.

I wanted to think on this.... So I'll try and make this short. I've spent more money on less is the easiest I can say. I think its worth the money (full disclosure I didn't pay for anything, Speed Industry got me a license and map pack to test for the shop) BUT I don't think its like going from a untuned car to a tuned and dp car like some have stated. It dropped a couple tenths, it shifts much faster, honestly don't even know how because I thought it shifted fast asf before. The time you click a paddle or the shifter its shifted, they are now instant, again not even sure how since I always thought it was responsive before.

I went straight to stage 3 since thats what most will do, but plan on testing stage 2 and most likely running it. In comfort and auto the shift dont rush through and even smoother, like you have to really be paying attention to feel them now.

So it is an "upgrade" so to speak. I'm aware that it may decrease the life of the trans, but i feel so does tuning the car and running e50. This may negate some of that with the extra line pressure, who knows. But i do like the way it drives, not that i had a issue with how it did in the first place. I guess its like if you ever had a good set of coilovers and your car rode better, but you took it some where they adjusted the preload properly and the dampening properly and now it rides better, thats how i see this. Toyota/BMW did a fine job on the trans tuning, this just tweaks it to be a little more refined, a little more quicker, a little bit better.

Has anyone purchased this xHP kit from Visconti? I purchased this kit from Visconti and selected the "Include WiFi Interface" which increased the price by $70ish. Can anyone tell me if that includes a WiFi adapter and if it's one of the two adapters that are compatible with the A90 Supra?

It's kind of confusing to me because no where on Viscontis product page does it say anything about the potential WiFi interface being one that is compatible with the Supra. I'm thinking I may have spent that extra $70 for nothing because I also ordered an MHD Orange adapter.

I checked their site and that extra $70 I believe is for their new wifi blue dongle included in the license/map pack.

It was like $517 with tax and shipping. I can confirm that the xHP License and Map pack with "OBD Interface Included" does in fact ship with their xHP Blue Wifi Dongle. It just arrived at my home. Sucks because I paid $70 for the MHD Orange adapter which just arrived as well. I'm about to go flash xHP onto my car though!

So I flashed my car with xHP. *Stage 3 Review.*

So I read that it was best to give the car about 50ish miles of driving conservatively in order to the give the TCU some time after the flash. So that's what I did, I drove around in Normal drive mode for exactly 50 miles. Then I started pushing it in Sport and Sport +.

*-Normal Mode after xHP-* So this is from my experience, on a "Stage 2" E40 tuned car. Previously, on the stock TCU tune, my car would rapidly shift to 8th gear and would feel like it bogged quite a bit. After installing xHP Stage 3, the shift points are WAAAAY better and WAY smoother. They are just at way better points in the rpm band and any bog or sluggish feeling is gone now, completely. The tune price alone was almost worth it just for this simple change, which really isn't simple at all. It makes a huge difference in the over all drivability of the car in Normal Mode.

*-Sport Mode after xHP-* WOW is a good way to describe it that's for sure. Once again, just like with the changes to Normal Drive mode, the shifts are at way better points in the RPM band. In automatic Sport Mode, on both upshifts and downshifts, you can definitely feel a noticeable difference in shift speed, it is quite a bit quicker, which is hard to imagine considering how quickly the car already shifted, and when it does upshift, it is quite a bit more aggressive. It feels like it's ever-so-slightly pushing you from behind on every WoT shift. It leaves a smile on your face.

*-Sport + Transmission mode ONLY after xHP-* This is where you notice the biggest difference comparing to the others. The car becomes even more aggressive than it was in Sport Mode. This setting takes everything that Sport mode does and just seems like it's slightly more aggressive. The downshifts are near instantaneous and aggressive, as are the upshifts. The upshifts are just a bit more aggressive and quicker than Sport Mode.

*-Sport and Sport + Shifting with Paddles-* HOLY SHIT!! I had never noticed that there was even a delay in shifting with the paddles prior to installing the Stage 3 xHP map, but after installing it, you instantly notice how much more responsive and how much quicker the car shifts when you hit the paddles. It's kind of mind blowing to be honest. The moment you hit the paddle the car is already in the next gear, it's so good. I've never driven a good DCT car, but I can imagine this is very very close if not faster than some. I can't imagine a car shifting any quicker than this now to be honest.

*-Issues noticed after flashing-* So the 3rd - 2nd gear downshift blip that people posted about is a real thing and it's harsh. I didn't make any changes prior to this voyage, but I most certainly will before my next drive. This is quite literally the only issue I've noticed so far and I drove a little over 90 miles today.

*-Overall Impressions and closing thoughts-*. It works and it does what everyone said it does. It makes the car even more enjoyable to drive and quite honestly, almost feels like a completely different car given how significant of a change something like this is. As far as how much quicker this is going to make your car, I would imagine with all the built in features this is going to make the most difference for launches and people pushing for better 1/4 mile times, this is where I could see people taking this to the moon.

As far as 60-130's and other "roll race" times, from my personal experience with my Dragy today, I improved my best 60-130 time by 2 tenths of a second, which all in all is a pretty good difference. It is also fair to say that my best 60-130 prior to today was in near perfect conditions for where I live and was ran immediately after my car got up to safe operating temps. My 60-130's today were ran after an hour of driving in 71 degree temp with an insane humidity and tons of stop and go city traffic.

This is why I felt it was worth the money. I drive mostly in M mode, had never before noticed I was waiting for shift to happen after I pressed the paddles until I flashed stage 3 with sport plus mode. I concur the shifts are lighting fast now in M mode, it's certinaly the most noticable differences to me.
