It's strange really, owning a Supra I didn't know it gave us cosmic power to enter an alternate universe where people think owning a BMW is a clever insult.

Literally one of the dumbest insults of all time as it’s basically a compliment. A Toyota with luxury brand parts? How is that a bad thing again?

I rented a GR Supra last month on vacation and it’s one of the best cars I’ve ever driven. I don’t know that current toyota would’ve done a better job at such an affordable price point.

So this evening I was driving home with the windows and drove past some goobers that saw the car and yelled “is that a Supra?!”

When I first got the car, I didn’t mind it much. But the more I hear it, the more annoyed I get. It kinda infuriates me now.

I thought about it and now I’m genuinely curious.

Where did this stupid catch phrase come from?

Why?
Is it an insult? Compliment?

On a base map it was just past 900 whp. We turned up the boost for this pass and ran a blend of meth/e85. If I had to guess it was around 1000 whp. Felt like a solid 8 second pass

I took it to the New Hampshire NASCAR race this weekend and I heard this at least a half dozen times. Hilariously, I've never seen the video or even knew it was a thing. People seemed to like the car and knew of it (it's the Xfinity pace car and the Toyota body style used in the series) and when they said it I just replied "Yeah, it is" then went on my way.
