I’d specify motortrend because I thought they had a long term manual transmission when I read your title lol

But if they added wind buffeting fixes then they would be in danger of ruining the car because the car was not designed and engineered for them...

Seriously though, I agree it has gotten SO DAMN OLD hearing about something I spent $10 to fix (buffeting) and something like $30?? to fix (screen brightness and others) with bimmercode.

I agree. I am 100% stock cars for comparisons, but when it comes to long term testers these rags use, they change the wheels and tires and other things when needed, I don't understand why they couldn't add a 10$ fix and get the other things coded the way they wanted to. changing the brightness and adding a piece to stop the buffeting isnt going to change any comparison test. Its not like wheels and tires or suspension or tuning.

It’s a 2 seat sports car. Mags don’t see many anymore and are confused what to do after a year. They are so truck, box cuv- suv focused it’s pathetic. Drive and enjoy — read less. The only question is what the idiots would keep.

I wish they would just add the pieces to stop the buffeting and a bimmer code update to fix some of their other complaints.

their sum up: It's a compelling car with a compelling story—and likely a compelling next few years—but we weren't crestfallen to see its taillights for the last time.
I’m a little confused because my warranty was 36k miles or 3 years. What are they talking about that 2years or 24k miles bs

Thats the same I was told too; guess I need to find out. my front right DRL is dim, noticeably dimmer than it should be. I was told by the PO it was covered until Dec 2023.

I took mine In for a vanos central bolt replacement at 35970 and they had no issues at all

The two years mentioned is for the free maintenance not the warranty.

Not a Corvette.
Still astounded around the confusion with warranty with this car. A very simple owners manual read or google search would solve this.

Our warranties are:

3 yr/36,000 mi bumper to bumper
5 yr/60,000 mi powertrain

Judging by the relatively low mileage on their long termer, I'd say they either had other more compelling vehicles in their fleet or general lack of interest by the staff writers to unpack it more. It seemed car and driver drove it far more and had an overall positive take albeit a 3 season one. You can lead a ? to water ...

Just had a trip to Vegas, the trunk fit two carryons and one 24'' luggage no problem...it is not amazing but enough for a week long getaway!
