This is what the supra did.. and will continue to do.. not sure MKV can fill the A80s shoes!!

Most people just have no clue what the A80 is all about. It really is just the orange car from the movie to them.

Let’s talk a bit about Yamaha’s involvement. A70TTR, any news? Do you know the layout of the inline 6 yet?....will it be like the RB where it will be at angle? Front facing intake manifold? Dual VVT-i? Anything more?

I love that....LOVE THAT! For those who think that rarely happens....pffft....there is a reason they are fetching top dollar on the used market.

True.. fortunately I’ve had a A80 since before the F&F came out so.. I can always tell people that I didn’t buy the car because of the movie. Plus that movie is full of flaws. That orange car is actually a riced out POS.

Same here, owned it for 20 years now.
I still remember the first time I saw a MKIV... it was 97.. I was driving around my high school in my ES250 (Lexus) and ended up behind one in traffic... that day was a turning point in my life. Then valet parked one at a restaurant shortly after.. rest is history.

This is pure speculation, but I think it'll be at a fairly noticeable angle, likely to lower the CoG. I highly doubt it's Dry-Sump out anything like that as that really lends itself to higher costs and potential reliability issues.

I will also guess that the intake manifold will feature a water-air hear exchanger like many turbo bimmers. But that's just a guess because nobody has spotted a convincing enough air-air intercooler in any of the mules, afaik.

Dual VVT for sure, and I'm hoping it's front facing, not rear facing like the B58. Also really hoping for D4S injection, as it will make all of our lives easier for tuning.

One big question is whether we're getting an integrated exhaust manifold or a proper multi-port head. I've seen some pretty cool tech from Mazda with the integrated manifolds (basically quick spool valves) but it does limit our ability to tune exhaust flow.
