Took my car for the second year of service and the dealership did a multi-point inspection and found that the rear tires tread depth is pretty low (3mm) and they say I should be replacing them soon.

Any suggestions on which tire to choose? I live in California so I don't have a winter problem like many people in the forum. I like the OEM performance but I don't want to get the OEM tire cos I don't want to replace it again in 11k miles but again I don't want to compromise on stock performance. I want something which is more durable and has good performance (similar if not better to the OEM tires)

Any Suggestions!

I ve read that te Michelin PS4S is a good tire with equivalent performance and more durable but whated to know what other owners are using

Tirerack.com
Discounttire.com

Its personal preference for everyone when it comes to it. The cost, ride quality, performance, road noise, etc... Its best you spend some time on those two websites to find what will fit you the best and you will be happy for years.

Those are the two attributes that rarely co-exist. The higher the performance, the shorter the lifespan. All tires are an exercise in compromises, and the more boxes it checks, the higher the price.

Hi OP, check out the Yokohama Advan Apex V601, HP summer tire with treadwear warranty up to 25K and cheaper than OE tires. Someone else on the forum did a review of it and was also shopping and had good things to say about it.

I have three oem tires for sale, two rears one front. If you change your mind and decide to stay oem I can sell for quite a bit cheaper then these websites.

I bought a set of Pilot Sport AS4 tires for my Mustang. I really liked them. Can't tell you how long they lasted seeing I sold it about 10k miles later. But atv10k miles, they still looked new. I also got 33k miles out of my Pilot Super Sport 4s in staggered setup if that tells you how I drive.

I also am a advocate for Discount Tire. I have purchased like 4 sets of tires from them. My review is included below

Discount Tire is my go to when in need of anything tire related. Fair prices and outstanding people. I have purchased 2 sets of tires from them with no regrets. Little known fact, If you have expensive tires and you want road hazard warranty, get it through them even if you did not buy them from Discount Tire. I put it on my Michelin PS4s even though they came new on the car. Full replacement if they cannot repair the tire, as long as tread is good. A pretty good peace of mind depending on the cost of tires.

Update: 30 Dec 21. They did it again, best place ever to go. Customer satisfactions is their goal and they hit it every time.

I previously purchased a new set of Continentals from them about 4 months ago. My first time moving away from Michelins. I was very dissatisfied with the quality and performance. In order to ensure I was a satisfied customer,, they redirected the funds I paid for Continentals to a new set of Michelin Pilot All Season 4s, I paid the difference in cost. Their team members were professional as always and do excellent work. I never go to any other store. Thank you DT

So I've heard a lot of people like these. Have they, or any Continental, ever come standard on a MKV Supra? I was visiting one of our labs and a guy pulled up in a new Supra. It had this tire on it. I didn't notice it until he had already walked away.

No, they've never come standard on the Supra. All MYs come with Michelin PSS.
