Thanks for the input. In regards to the passage in your response that I bolded, that has certainly been my experience. It also lines up with everything I've read here. But yeah, like I said, it's basically just an insurance policy for me. There's a part of me that really wants this to be completely ineffective and unnecessary even as an insurance policy, however, because the Verus AOS prevents the installation of just about every aftermarket air intake available (without modification to he intake) for these cars due to where it mounts near the factory intake and the way the hose is routed. And sure, I may be leaving a couple of HP on the table by not having one, but the induction noise they produce is just lovely.My personal opinion it is not needed on our b58 set up. I base this on my experience, my tuner and a race team i hang with.
My .02 and I am not a NASA space shuttle level Motor builder myself. It certainly does not hurt anything to have one.
I also don't know anyone who have one that have actually caught anything significant. Does not matter the brand or high side low side etc.
