Via the Nissan Z forum. The meltdown continues for this 'new' Z. Pathetic by Nissan.

Gotta go down as one of the biggest flops of car launches of all time

That forum is sooo dead lol Main "all posts" page goes back to Thursday of last week. But I guess there isn't much to talk about when there are no cars out and about. What a shit show.

Looking at the dyno, am I wrong to assume a 2020 MKV (no JB4/tune) would beat/hang with the Z due to the difference in torque and weight?

I would say yes, since most the official testing shows the difference between a 2020 and 2021+ is around a tenth or 2 depending on the source. 12.3 to a 12.2-12.1, The best Z if i remember right was a 12.6.

So yeah a 2020 should be able to hang with a Z stock for stock.

Edit, no you are not wrong to assume lol...
