Hmm, so that fascia will be available on a production version of the Z? Or is it a replacement piece that will be available to the public...?

Unfortunately Nissan wouldn’t do this for the same reason the Juke R never came to be. They don’t want to comprise their beloved GT-R legacy and to put it in a car that’s half the price would make all the people that live the GT-R angry. Nissan will probably bring back there R36 with the same power plant with electric motors on the wheels similar to the NSX and call it a day with a new body on the same chassis. They sold the R35 from 2008-2023 no chance it’s going in the Z. I like your thoughts just won’t ever happen. That would bring Nissan back from almost dead and they still won’t do it. I had an R35 Black Edition and I like the Supra more. That’s saying something for the MKV Supra. I’ve seen some other Supra owners on YT test drive the GT-R recently and they had the same opinion. Almost the same performance and the Supra looks better and isn’t as dated (or heavy) and the Supra rides so much better than the GT-R.This is just me wondering out loud... and I assume Nissan probably would not do this... but what are the chances Nissan would swap the VR30 for the GTR's base spec VR38DETT, bolt it up to the Z's auto and manual transmissions and do little more than rearrange some intercooler piping and write a new ECU calibration specifically for the Z?
In the late 1960's Nissan did basically that by taking the Hakosuka Skyline GT-R's 24-valve inline-six engine, planting it into the Fairlady Z with triple carburetors and slapping a "432" badge on it.

(Side note-- I actually got to see a 1969 Z 432 and 1969 Hakosuka GT-R several years ago at the then-HQ of Nissan in Tokyo. Gorgeous machines!! I took a few photos while I was there and the staff didn't seem to mind.)
Nissan probably would not do that but if they really *wanted* to wow everyone and use that VR38 engine as much as possible while they can still sell it around the world throwing it into a low volume Nismo Z would be the way to do it and have as little to reengineer and re-certify as possible.
There probably isn't that much difference in terms of mounting between the VR30DDTT and the VR38DETT.
As beautiful as this color on the Z is, this has to be on bags or someone’s in for a rude awakening at that ride height.I always say … wheels and stance can make a car…

Its ugly. Wont help the lame handling and performance of that car either. Thats a cartoon not a car. Good for rolling at 30mph and sitting at a McDonalds while vaping. As beautiful as this color on the Z is, this has to be on bags or someone’s in for a rude awakening at that ride height.
I’m not a fan of the new Z myself but I don’t think it’s necessarily ugly. I think they over used the previous generation ques too much instead of subtle nods to them in the classiest way.Its ugly. This is what the Z is good for anyways, stancing and hard parking. Its ugly. Wont help the lame handling and performance of that car either. Thats a cartoon not a car. Good for rolling at 30mph and sitting at a McDonalds while vaping.
I respect the owner's initiative to alter his car. I like the wheels but that is all. Certainly he develops a unique look. This is what the Z is good for anyways, stancing and hard parking.
Holy backdrop! The closest we’ve got to that over here, imo, is Montana. That’s freaking beautiful dude!!!! I live in Florida. Best I can do is bust out some photos of my Supra next to a swamp.I respect the owner's initiative to alter his car. I like the wheels but that is all. Certainly he develops a unique look.
I enjoyed my Z here in Germany. It was used for everyday driving and fun. Travel etc. Was a fun/fast and reliable performance car that stood out - even stock.
One of my best photo's ever is this on a road journey to the Swiss Italian region in Lugano on the lake. This taken South of Zurich. Stock and beautiful that Z![]()

Improvement… no.I'm not sure wrapping it in a trash bag is an improvement or not...?![]()
At this point just let me know when they finally find a car it can beat. From a stop, even the Q60 is faster than the reskinned Z...
