Hello, I wanted to hear everyone’s funny stories about what all the lover and haters have commented about your Supra.
All the “it’s a BMW” and what your response was.
I’ll go first, I had a guy at Autozone come out when I drove up and said “Nice BMW GR Supra” I said thanks I really like it. I ask what do you drive and he pointed to a convertible 350z. It was a nice car, little worn but still nice. Over all wasn’t a bad conversation, but it was the first time I got the “it’s a BMW” I had gotten since owning the car so I felt honored.

I was running late from a meeting last week and decided to go through the McDonalds drive thru on my way home. I pulled around the building and into the drive thru behind what appeared to be a Walmart "Great Value" modified Scion TC with different color bumpers. The kid had his door open shouting his order because his driver's side window wouldn't roll down and his exhaust sounded like a lawn mower. Then his engine died and he was struggling to restart it, so I backed up and pulled into the second drive thru lane. As I was putting in my order mister Scion got it started and was pulling through when he suddenly stopped, opened his door, popped his head up like a prairie dog and absolutely screamed at me "AW MAN SICK" and threw a big thumbs up to me.

His Scion died two more times, once at the pay window and again at the pickup window.

Had a guy yell "Nah, that shits trash.. It's a MK5 not even a MK4." to their coworker at a steak n' shake last night. Made me laugh pretty good.

Not really answering op's question. But is it normal of this car getting a chit ton of attention? Seems so. I've had a stinger prior and use to get a compliment or interest once few months tops.

Yea this car's styling catches even non-car people, but I've noticed in my almost 1 year ownership that the "car guys" crowd is losing interest as they aren't as rare as they used to be. Now I get more compliments from non-car people than car people.

I guess varies on location. I've seen a supra once in the last 2 years since it's arrival.

There is only one other Supra in my area, so I get a lot of attention since ppl have never really seen my car before.

Gotta admire this guy's optimism and determination while breaking down multiple times in a McDonald's drive-thru.

Haven't really got any looks so far. I had one older gentleman see Supra written on the back and he started saying how he liked the MKIII back in the day. I had another guy say "nice little car..." still not sure if that was intended to be an insult or not. I think maybe it makes other people drive more aggressively around me? That's the only thing I've started to notice compared to when I drive my other car...can only imagine how bad that would have been if I went C8 instead.
