Would be nice to have stands for sure. I have the same type of digital angle gauge to read camber. For toe, you are still using analog string and tape measurement with that.

Yes, the advantage is no more lifting/dropping/rolling/rocking/bouncing car in between adjustments. Convenience. With everything set up, you literally see the changes in measurements as you make them. The camber gauge, etc. all goes right onto the stands and can also be viewed while adjust camber; all in real time. Wheels off, adjust, wheels on, done.
it's a sweet setup. The last version used lasers. That was cool and all, but I like not needing batteries.
The string set up is absolutely a very close second in terms of my wanting.
I'm a bit spoiled so want the stands. LOL.
I may be buying a new project on Sunday.... if I do, that will calm me right down and I'll be going the string route

Yea don't get me wrong, I would love stands, just can't justify the price. Currently, the only thing I have to lift the car up and down for is to set camber. Once I get that, I can change toe with it on the ground.

Looks like the stands have roller balls on the bottom so they can roll laterally as the car comes down and the suspension compresses. The description also mentions a pivot for the camber change.

Yes. Four rollers on each stand. They all move independently in all directions. And also yes: pivot for the camber.

Strings are awesome too, but I've decided to go this route. I've used them and REALLY like being able to adjust the suspension while the car is just sitting there on the stands. You can actually WATCH the change in measurements while you are adjusting:

He is just full of energy and loves anything car related. He really likes watching the cnc machines go to work too haha. Kid is just all over the place whenever I bring him to work.

I would do the same if I had a shop offering lifetime alignments with custom specs. I had a lifetime alignment on the Evo, but then the shop got a new manager and only allowed me to do OEM spec. That was a waste of $200.
I've had nothing but problems finding shops to do custom alignments in my city.
DIY is definitely the way to go for me b

What was the tire rubbing on? That thing is trashed! How much negative camber are you running?

I’m going to look at it further when it’s up in the air at the shop. I can drive with no problems (notice any rub). I do know it’s hitting some of the outer plastic wheel well cover, can visibly see it and it’s peeling a bit. She’s just too low Brian. But I’ll be switching to Ohlins anyways thanks to you and Sean’s (Evo’s) suggestion ?

As far as camber, I’m only at -2.5 with a slight toe out. So nothing crazy. I’m really looking forward to getting these Ohlins on ?. I really was putting down much faster consistent lap times (3 seconds) per your suggestion, lol. Carrying more speed in the corners, using more of the track (rumbles) to carry the higher speeds…
