You're correct. If CAN Input Status is reading 65535, there's no signal to can. You can test the connectors with toning them out with any volt meter.
how do I test that? I have a multimeter, but my knowledge of electrical testing is limited. ?

Set the meter to 'tone' it'll beep when you touch the two leads together. Then you can check the harnesses.

Okay I’ll try that when I get off work. Really hope it’s something like that. This has me stumped

It is blinking when in diagnostic mode.
I am talking about the LED inside the Zeitronix ECA. It will still blink even if the module isn't connected to the car's CAN bus and has nothing to do with diagnostic mode. If the LED is off, you are missing power or ground. If it is on solid, you are missing the signal from the sensor. If it blinks, the sensor is seeing ethanol and the ECA is recognizing that. If that all works, then go on to the CAN bus wiring.

Troubleshooting
The LED located between Signal and Gauge connectors turn solid after ECA is powered up. The LED remains solid if there is no signal from Flex Fuel Sensor. E Gauge displays E - - in ths case. Once the Flex Fuel Sensor signal is present LED blinks in a fast pace and E Gauge displays Ethanol Content.

Oh I gotcha. It was blinking. So I’m gonna investigate the can bus wiring connections. All the wires are the way the install guide shows though.

Zeitronix has a config utility for the ECA called ZDL for changing the CAN settings in the module. If the settings are not what they are supposed to be, you could try reset them with that. I have never used it.
https://www.zeitronix.com/zdl/
The PDF link in my previous post shows the module's default CAN settings so you can compare.
The only wires you need to worry about checking are the 2 CAN wires (white/red, white/black) because the LED is blinking so all others are OK.

To make sure the wires weren't switched in the harness:
The white/red wire (CAN +)from the ECA should go to the car's yellow/white CAN wire, and the white/black (CAN -) wire should go to the yellow/black.

To be honest I’m not sure how to do all that, I assume you have to have the eca connected to a computer?

Save that for last as that is unlikely the cause, especially if it was a new ECA that no one should have messed with before.

I talked to another forum member who had a similar issue and swapped out a friends zeitronix box with his and it fixed his issue. But Visconti says they have never seen a box fail in the 10 years they have been selling them.

May have found the issue this pin is pushed back and it’s the yellow and black wire.

Could someone else also look at theirs and see if it looks similar to his?

Ya that for sure is the issue. Pop the orange piece out, push the pin back up, put orange thing back in and call it a day.
