I put a deposit for A91 MT Limited Edition last month. The Dealer gave me 3 to 6 months waiting time. He said this is their first supra order for the year. After I made my research, I came to the conclusion of forget about limited edition supra, I will be lucky if I get allocation of any color manual supra before end of the summer. Now if my dealer calls me in the next two months and tells me a manual supra allocation available, should I pull the trigger or put my name down for the first deliveries of 2024 supras whenever they will be available? My deposit is just $500 and it’s refundable. I am in Toronto area and dealerships are not allowed to put higher amount than msrp on supras in Canada. Also if you have any idea what changes are expected for 2024 supras?

How long did you guys normally wait to get the specific color and trim you wanted when you placed a deposit in the dealership?

So tired of this stupid shit.
It this a deal gone wrong with BMW type shit? Assembly line only online if someone brings apple strudel or weiner schnitzel or something??
Why can't people just order. If it says 1 year ETA that's better than, will I ever get it...
Why are we not complaining about this more..
Toyota isn't going to change there entire system for a niche car.

Good luck with the a91 in Canada. We got a small fraction allocated to Canada compared to the US. I'm surprised the dealer even gave you hope. We're on the tail end of 2023MY. 6 months from now puts us in October when 2024 waitlists will have already started.

The Toyota Inventory site helped me see what dealers were getting allocation. Be careful that it turns into crack really easily and towards the end, I was checking it several times a day.

My suggestion and what worked for me to get a 23 3.0 AT in about 2 months:
1. Compile a list of dealers in your area in an increasing radius.
2. Email or call all of those asking if they sell for MSRP, if there is a waiting list, and what you need to do to get on the waiting list.
3. Put a deposit down in all of the dealerships (whenever they start allowing for MY2024 deposits) ONLY if the dealership sells at MSRP and the deposit is fully refundable.
4. Wait. Potentially for a while.
5. Buy parts before you have the car
6. Get word from dealer that the car you want has been allocated to them.
7. Check the Toyota site every day 6x a day
8. Take delivery of your car!

But in all seriousness, summary is: look around for MSRP dealers and put refundable deposits down when they allow it for 2024s.
Good summary ☝ I did it twice in 2022 and both times about 3 months from deposit. The Toyota website is actually decent using the zip code search to find the car you want. Simply ask those dealers if they were willing to sell at MSRP. It’s that simple. If you’re not as picky as I was (phantom with red). I can’t imagine it being that difficult. Have fun @Digitalprty. She’s so worth it!

I went the route of not ordering mine and joined call lists for allocations for like 30 dealers across the east coast. This was in October last year. I finally got a call in late March from a dealer in VA that had the one I was seeking and had to place a $2.5K deposit to hold it. Then, I had to purchase and arrange shipping to FL. They also wouldn’t pay off my trade bc it wasn’t in person. For reference I had 3 other Yota dealers give me payoff quotes for my ‘21. So I paid a premium of 1.8K upside down on trade and 1.9K to ship to me and return shipping for my trade. I did get the car at MSRP though. Dealer was Koons in VA. Long story short: order yours when it becomes available. Most every dealer are taking deposits over the phone and even if you aren’t picky on color the cars are spoken for as soon as you call. You’ll end up waiting regardless so order what you want when the ‘24s become available to order

Yeah I feel the same way. It makes more sense to focus on 24 my for next year delivery is more realistic to get one. It is sad to see that dealerships have no idea about supras or they just hopeful but don’t tell the truth to the customers.

@Turcktech i dont think you will receive a MY24 Supra MT until October of this year .
No, my dealership kept me dreaming to get a 23 manual this summer. I don’t see it will happen. I should be putting my name in the list for 24 my deliveries starting next year asap they are available . If my dealer calls me in august and tell me they have one 23 coming in, I won’t be driving the car in canadian winter anyway. And its literally winter in here after September.

I received a phone call yesterday from my dealership and I was told an absolute white manual is coming first or the second week of june. They asked if I am interested. I pulled the trigger and going for it. I originally made a deposit a month ago for c u gray limited edition manual supra. After I made my research, it is almost impossible to get a limited one for 23 my. Since it is the beginning of summer in Toronto in june, I will have enough time to drive the car before winter hits back. So, I am very happy to get a manual supra just after a month of the deposit I made. Anyone who is waiting for his/her supra, hope you get it soon!

I put the deposit down today for an A91. He had to put it in as a 2023 because the 2024s aren’t in the system yet, but I’m first in line and at MSRP.
