Noticed some marks on the car after the yard guys did their thing, not sure if grease or what but they won’t come off after washing. I used Meguiars gold class (orange) and the newer Meguiars (yellow) and nothing gets the “stain” out.

Does anyone have any experience taking stains like this off? I notice that rubbing my finger over it temporarily makes it disappear (it looks lighter in direct sunlight), kind of like it’s dry and moisture restores the color, then dries up again.

Any help is appreciated, it’s driving me crazy that this paint would be so delicate.

Whatever you do, do not use any polish or wax. Try some alcohol spray (50% or more alcohol content), and wipe with soft cloth. Lysol wipes could work as well. Just make sure you clean it with water as well after using either options.

Yeah I agree with the above (no polish or compounds).

I would try a mild adhesive removal solvent to see if this removes the marks for it may just be an oil based film/mark. Apply the liquid product to a new microfiber towel and rub lightly.

Rubbing alcohol would be another safe option.

Use wipesolve or whats commonly referred to a "wax and grease remover" used by automotive painters prior to applying any paint. I had a motorcycle that came from the factory with Matt/sating paint and it was the only thing that would safely remove the oil from bugs and anything else.
Commonly available from automotive paint suppliers and auto shops that sell paint products.

SEM Solve! I don’t know how many I’ve recommended this to, but auto body and paint shops use to to clear any adhesIves, tar, sap, etc. It’s really amazing stuff because it’s strong enough to take whatever is needed away but won’t harm your paint while doing so. I never go without a can in my garage.
